bradm
Seeing as I don't have to be at work tomorrow, I'll be able to enjoy Souljazz Orchestra fully tonight at Babylon. Is anybody else up for it?Aloha,Brad
bradm
Bump. Does everybody in Ottawa except me have to be at work tomorrow? C'mon, even just the first set (which typically starts around 11pm and will be over by midnight) is worth the $5 cover.Aloha,Brad
YearsAlongTheSea
I think I may make it out this week. Where exactly is Babylon? It's at the end of my street, I just don't know where. Between Barrymore's and the Aloha Room?

bradm
About 20 minutes into the second set, I went up to that raised section Babylon has against the right (as you face the stage) wall. You could smell the sweat of the people on the dance floor maybe half a person's height below you. You don't sense it on the dance floor, it all wafts up, probably forming a boundary layer with other waftage. But get above the sweaty twisting bodies and it's a whole other senory experience. The icon associated with this post is a low-rez security capture of me inhaling as much of the waftage as I could in one breath. It was a youshuddabeenderr production.Aloha,Brad Edited August 4, 2006 by Guest One too many "Aloha, Brad"s.
