bradm
The Manx is a nice little downstairs (English-style) pub (map), and it's a few blocks South of you.If you're still in town tomorrow night, I strongly recommend coming to Babylon (map) for The Souljazz Orchestra. Doors open about 10pm, cover is $5, and the band starts its first set about 11pm (they do three sets, ending around last call, but even one set of them is worth $5).Aloha,Brad
ollie
Hooley's on Elgin is the new pub that we're all gaga about. Great tap selection. Food is good. Nice patio. Cool bar. Should be right around that area.

Super Freak
We are now considering staying for an extra night. Is the Souljazz show most likely to be a dancer or a sit and watcher...let me know.having a great time in Ottawa!!!
bradm
We are now considering staying for an extra night. Is the Souljazz show most likely to be a dancer or a sit and watcher...let me know.Definitely a dancer: jazz, soul, latin, afro-beat, funk. The band has keys, (acoustic) drums, two or three horns, and sometimes a female vocalist, and they all can really play well. Before and between sets, DJ D-Mass spins hard funk.Aloha,Brad
