sorry, i should probably have posted this in the food forum, but this is a time-sensitive issue, and in case there are people who don't read the food forum/don't know it exists, i wanted to make sure they saw this too. :) plus it isn't entirely about food...

anyway! i need some help!

miss pink & i are putting together a mexican-themed gift, and we'd like to include some great mexican recipes, and dirty spanish phrases. slang is okay. :) even really funny spanish phrases that are not necessarily dirty are okay too.

KARINANNIE I AM LOOKING FOR YOUR SALSA!!!!! damn that shit was good, coupled with scott's caesars, that was the best ctmf breakfast of all time!

please share. prior to 5pm today is best. :)

gracias!

We'll need both translations... we're making a dick-tionary, so-to-say. It would be better if our friend knew what these terms meant... otherwise she could get in trouble.

What if she tries to order a beer and says, "I'll have a grande concha" and ends up with a big mexican dick on a plate or something...

(i don't know what grand concha means... i'm only speculating)

hey girls - i have a whole dictionary at home of spanish swear-words. i will post more if i get home in time, but for now:

shit = mierda

to fuck = chingar

fucked = chingada/chingado

ass = culo

tits = tetas

bum cheeks = nalgas [i think]

cabron, pendejo = rude names to call someone

puta = bitch/whore

hijo-de-puta = sonofabitch

that's all i can think of off the top of my head! :)

ps concha means cunt, but not in a bad way just vulgar [yikes!]

oooh, i don't have an exact recipe for that salsa, just kinda threw it together, but i'll try to remember.

-tomatoes (deseeded)

-fresh jalopeno (deseeded)

-pablano pepper (deseeded)

- 1 small white onion, finely chopped

- lots o cilantro

-1 fresh squeezed lime

- dash of olive oil

-crushed red pepper flakes

- kosher salt

-little bit of garlic powder and onion powder

-dash of cayenne

-1/2 a cucumber, chopped fine

I think that was it. Just taste as you go to get the amounts right and make it a day ahead of time, it's better after it sits for a while.
