Blane
Hi folks, in the ongoing saga of my cousin's computer, I've replaced the hard drive (got a 200gb Maxtor at Future Shop for 90 bucks!). Problem is that when I installed it I partitioned it at 100gb (2 partitions X 100gb). I formatted the C: partition to install the OS, and set up XP Pro. Now when I load it up I can only see the one partition (presumably because the other 100gb hasn't been formatted yet). When I use the system BIOS I can see a 203gb hard drive listed, but I don't know how to get the 2nd partition to show up. Can anyone help with that? Thanks! bouche
if you go to computer management, does it show multiple partitions for Disk 0?
Blane
where is "computer management"? You mean "System"?
SolarGarlic
click on Start > Run and type > compmgmt.msc Click on the disk management icon and see what is showing up.If that doesn't work, make sure that windows service packs were installed with windows, otherwise the OS will not see the full size of the HDD. Good luck...
