Jaimoe
It's funny how both Swearengen and Tolliver are both sort of evil incarnate but both take their pants off one leg at a time and need the love of a woman. If anyone's having trouble with the names like me here's the Cast and Crew.I think Al and Cy are completely different beasts. One honour's a code while the other is a survivor of the lowest and most ruthless quality.
zero
What's Swearengen's code exactly- gut him before he guts you?
Jaimoe
What's Swearengen's code exactly- gut him before he guts you?Nope, but that's part of his primal code. Al does his non-personal dealings for the betterment of the camp (Deadwood). It's one of the reasons why he butts heads with Bullock so much. Al also understands the role of the media and trys to protect Deadwood's interests in the face of take-over from colonial government bastards from Yankton.Tolliver is crazy and irrational, surviving by any means necessary.
