AD Posted December 12, 2006 Report Share Posted December 12, 2006 I downloaded 1995's Return of the Rentals by The Rentals on the weekend and I'm amazed at how good this album sounds. I bought it when it came out, then sold it probably a year later as I thought I had 'out-grown' it. This is a great album...This re-acquaintance came about due to my torrid affair with Petra Haden , Charlie Haden's daughter. I first met her seeing that dog in 1997, and it was there that I recognised her voice as being the sugarpop in The Rentals.Anyways.... Return of The Rentals is still a great album, and if you're a fan of The Who you should check out Petra Haden's entirely a-capella recording of The Who Sell Out.
