c-towns
Have people found any new jambands or been turned on to an album by an existing jamband as of late that didn't hurt your ears?I have given U-melt and Pnuma a listen lately and its not too bad. Also, Hidria Spacefolk - Symbiosis is not a bad album.Any thoughts? SaggyBalls
I'm curious as well. I've yet to hear a jamband that transcends the label.Pnuma was described to me as a live electronic act and I'd expressed the same to a few people before hearing them and regret not looking into it.I'm not into lying to my friends.Good show, but it was here in Vancouver so I can only imagine how hard they'd rip in vermont or toronto. Still. Jamband.I don't want to think that the New Deal were an anomaly.Any extended alt.country? Retro guitar pop? Ambient trance? Organic Booty?I love the musicianship but not the immediate feel of 'jamband'. Any time I stop and think about something aside from the moment it is a distraction and even the most jarring cacophanic sounds can keep me in the moment.I find it interesting that what I used to love about Jams (getting lost in the moment) rarely happens anymore because i crave music that can hold onto me.
