I was interested in buying this in the future and would love if i could find a free trial out there. From what i gather though you cant just use your normal mixer into the computer for this can you? can-o-phish Posted December 28, 2006 Report Share Posted December 28, 2006 Pro Tools has a free version but it wil not run on OS X or Windows XP...you have to be running an earlier version of Windows to operate their free version which is extremely scaled back.If you're downloading a crack version of Pro Tools there may be an issue if it doesn't detect the Pro Tools hardware as in it will not run.Pro Tools just recently introduced the Mbox Mini which is bundled with a crapload of additional software...Any more questions fire them my way...it's what I make my living with in many ways...
