The Mynah Birds

Recommended Posts

Came across this and thought some folks might be interested. It's an early release of a couple of songs done by Toronto's Mynah Birds in around 1966. Lead singer for the band was future super-freak Rick James. On rhythm guitar and back-up vocals was a lad by the name of Neil Young.

Motown recently released these songs from their archives.

heard bout them on some documentary bout Yorkville in 1960s Toronto or something a while back... freak city back then, lots of wierd combos and unlikely shows while people gained their chops... think it was part of a series of documentaries
