AD
copied from the iTunes help Insert an audio CD into your computer's internal CD or DVD drive. When the list of songs appears in the iTunes window, deselect any songs you don't want to import. To add the selected songs to your library, click the Import CD button (at the bottom of the iTunes window). To cancel importing, click the small X next to the progress bar at the top of the iTunes window. When the songs are finished importing, click the Eject symbol to the right of the CD or click the Eject Disc button (shown below) in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window. You can continue to use iTunes while songs are importing.Tip: You can also import a song by dragging it to the Music playlist (below Library). You’ll see a green plus sign when it’s OK to stop dragging.By default, iTunes plays songs while they’re being imported (to stop playback, click the Pause button). To stop iTunes from playing songs automatically, choose Edit > Preferences, click Advanced, click Importing, and deselect “Play songs while importing.â€The default encoding format is AAC. If you have trouble importing or the imported songs don’t sound right, click the links below. To automatically sync your iPod when you connect it to your computer: Connect your iPod to your computer. When the iPod icon appears in the iTunes window (below Devices), select it. If the Summary pane isn't showing, click the Summary tab. Make sure that “Manually manage music†is not selected. (If you have an iPod that displays video, the checkbox says “Manually manage music and video.â€) Click the Music tab and do one of the following:â– To automatically update your iPod with all the songs and playlists in your library, select “Sync music†and then select “All songs and playlists.â€â– To automatically update your iPod with only certain playlists, select “Sync music†and “Selected playlists,†and then select the playlists you want synchronized. To sync only items in your library that have a checkmark next to them, click the Summary tab and select “Only sync checked items.â€After you sync, if you add songs or playlists to your iTunes library before you disconnect the iPod, choose File > Sync iPod to update it again. You can sync your iPod with only one iTunes library at a time. To use your iPod with more than one computer, set up iTunes to manage songs manually. You also might want to manage songs manually if your iTunes library has more music than your iPod can hold.To add songs to iPod manually: Connect your iPod to your computer. When the iPod icon appears in the iTunes window (under Devices), select it. If the Summary pane is not showing, click the Summary tab. Select “Manually manage music.†(If you have an iPod that displays video, the checkbox says “Manually manage music and video.â€) Click Music (below Library, on the left side of the iTunes window) and then drag songs and playlists to your iPod. bouche
maybe the song was imported without the track information that you expect.check the "Playlists" section in your sidebar and look for "Recently Added". If you don't have that playlist, you can create it in a snap and I use it all the time.- create a new playlist called "recently added" from File>New Smart Playlist- select "Date Added" as the first rule- select "is in the last" for the second rule- select "month" or something that you think is reasonablewhen you open that smart playlist, you will see any music that you've added "in the last" month or whatever time frame you selected. The smart playlist is probably the best stand-out feature of iTunes. It's a great way to logically populate you iPod with music based on any criteria.
ollie
If you get really stuck you could always use CDEX to rip the CD. Then you can copy the mp3s to your iPod using the usual method (assuming you have a usual method of course).http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/
