Rossolee
The original manuscript for Jack Kerouac's On The Road- is on display in NYC until Feb. It then moves to several other locations over the next year. Looking forward to seeing it this summer! http://www.ontheroad.org/
Big Wooly Mammoth
There's a new edition of the book just released, which is basically this original manuscript, unedited, which includes the real names of all the characters. The review which I read said that the edited version is a much better version actually.
paisley
not too suprising the 3 week benzedrine fueled effort of piecing the book together would need a few adjustments prior to publicationwas apparently more myth than fact that he actually wrote the book from scratch in 3 weeks... more a case of when he had it all together he sat down and wrote it all out sequentially on a tear Jack Kerouac's Famous Scroll, 'On the Road' Again still want to read over the original writing even if it has less click than the polished release
