bouche Posted December 7, 2007 Report Share Posted December 7, 2007 Most of the time, pre-ordering is the biggest scam out there.Only a few pre-order systems actually work. for example:EB Games will actually guarantee you what you preorder on the day of release and hold it for you. They only require $5 minimum. I got a Nintendo Wii on launch day that way. Anything that I've pre-ordered from them has always been there for me.I've pre-ordered things from the futureshop only to find that I would not get my order via mail as they were out of stock on the day of a release. However, all of the local futureshops had the item in stock. I cancelled my order and just went to the store.I don't think I've ever preordered anything other than video games though. I find it hard to believe that a CD would be hard to get on any day of release in a store so preordering really isn't even necessary. No one lines up for CD's anymore.
