dancingbear
i know there was a discussion here a while ago. anyhow i am moving and want to back up my whole computer. i am mostly useless with computer stuff and want the simplest one so i can just load software click one button. i do not want to have to find all the files i want to save. does this exist and what would the best thing be? bouche
vista has a pretty good built in backup tool. other than that, you'll probably have to buy some software like Norton ghost or something similar. I don't know of any decent freeware.
d_rawk
"One Click" USB backup drives are all over Future Shop and Best Buy. Just get one of those, plug it into your USB port and hit the button. Generally they back up everything except for system files, so in the event that something catastrophic happens during your move, just re-install Windows (assuming a PC) and copy the rest of the files back off the USB drive. bouche
backups rock. when we got broken into, the little faggy thieves left my external backup drives and I had my system completely backedup.
