Vanagon Scott
Is there any where around Hamilton to play some disc golf?
phishtaper
I see people playing on McMaster Campus all the time. Not an official course, but plenty of immovable objects suitable for "holes".
CyberHippie
The closest course is probably Christie Lake: http://www.conservationhamilton.ca/parks/visit/christie.aspAlso there is the Bronte Creek course in Burlington. For more info about local courses etc: www.discgolfontario.comIn a pinch, object golf is always a great option. Here in the tDot we've been going crazy with target golf in urban environments. But we've been playing with 'mini' golf discs!
jaybone
I am a member at Bronte so drop me a pm if you want to get out for a round. They put in a ton of work in to the course last year so it's really improved, with multiple pin placement etc. I've heard great things about Christy Lake but haven't been yet. I think the course is new, but nice.
CyberHippie
I second that. The Bronte course is great, the layout is quite challenging now, it's not quite the birdie madness it used to be. They got a lot of money to improve the course, new baskets, tee pads etc... Every year that course keeps getting better and better. Just keep an eye out for poison ivy! jaybone
Yo Trev! I didn't recognize your new user name! We should get out for a round soon.
CyberHippie
Yeah dude! I may actually get out to Bronte one afternoon this week. What's your schedule like?
jaybone
I usually make my own schedule. Let me know when you are thinking about coming down and I'll try to be free.
Prost
How much does a season pass cost for Bronte?? Do you still just pay for a carload? I'd love to get out for a couple rounds.
jaybone
A season's pass is close to $90 (good for all provincial parks). I think it's $12 for a carload. Drop me a pm if you want to go for a round and we can use my pass.
