Bluegrass / Jamgrass Show tonight (monday) at The Horseshoe

hello fellow CanJam friends,

Just wanted to let you guys know about a great Jam event happening tonight (monday the 29th) at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. There's two bands on the bill: Cosmic Granola (Thunder Bay Groovegasm) and the Strangeboys (Halifax Jamgrass insanity). all the fun and excitement of bluegrass music, combined with funk, techno/electronica, reggae and rock jams that make you think "how are they making those sounds on acoustic instruments?"

We (the Strangeboys) have been playing shows together for just over a year and have been working really hard to put together a live show that takes bluegrass and acoustic music to new places while still keeping ourselves firmly anchored to that traditional "High, lonesome sound".

Show starts at 9:30 PM with Cosmic Granola, followed by The Strangeboys at 10:45.

Sounds like there is a shitty afterparty at my house again.

I'll be at the Chatham Funk All-Stars show tonight heckling schwa on-stage and starting fights with d-rawk.

This will be a fun eve, I'm going to check it out. Hung out with a couple of the Strangeboys at Horning's a couple years ago, tight mando and banjo.
