Guest Low Roller
Gretzky has pulled the plug on his stint with the Coyotes organization as he handed in his resignation as head coach and director of hockey operations according to RDS, although TSN only mentions that he resigned as head coach. What a sad little stint for the Great One. Freak By Night
I think this is a great time to re-post something from over 4 years ago. I was right
Guest Low Roller
Jesus. How long were you holding onto that one? You're worse than Booche.
Booche
Some of us actually have memories we can recall, but kudos to FBN. That was a good one!

dave-O
I was right What exactly were you right about? Sure Gretz never got the Coyotes into the playoffs, but I don't think even player-coach Reggie Dunlop could have gotten that bunch of scrubs into the post-season. While it might be tough to fire a co-owner, nobody was calling for his head. 4 years is a long time to hold a coaching job in this age.
Freak By Night
You could have chosen a non-fictional coach to make your point. As a player, Gretzky transformed the LA Kings from also-rans into contenders. Many were expecting the same performance from him behind the bench. I said that wasn't going to happen. Therefore, I was right.
