AD
Has anyone listened to the official bootlegs released from the 8/3 and 8/4 Red Rocks shows? The setlists are amazing but (it might just be me) but the sound quality is so muddy / muffled / bad for an official release. Any thoughts? Guest Low Roller
Have not given them a listen yet. I am still completely entranced by their Forecastle Festival set (can't find a link to the SBD right now, but if you dig around it's there). AD
So, has anybody listened to the official bootlegs from 8/3 and 8/4? If so, what did you think of the sound quality?
Guest Low Roller
A bit late to reply, but just got around to these recordings. The answer is yes. The sound quality is not great. I hear a lot of cracking at times, almost like a vinyl record being played. The transition between songs is also a bit mangled at times. On top of that, is it just me, or is the performance a bit weak as well??Hmm... not impressed. MUCH better sounding gigs from this year's tour are available for free.
