MamaPink
OK, so here's the scoop - I've been downloading this show that I REALLY want, but it's taking forever. Right now it's at 52% and my computer is in desperate need of a reboot. If I reboot before the download is finished, will I have to start the download all over again or will it start from the same place it ended off?? Basher
If you are using the BitTorrent client then you can reboot. Once you start the download, if you pick the same location to save, it will resume.
MamaPink
I assumed since there were temporary files it would, but I needed someone else to blame if it didn't work. Thanks bsherman! Ok - gonna try to reboot... This is LittlemissPink Signing off

I was so lost, but then Schwa put it into plain English (no pun intended) and now I completely understand 77%!

bouche
I believe that Bit Torrent actually will create file the size that the final file will be when it's complete. Basically, if you start a download that would be 1.2 gigs, and quit it at 4%, you'll have a 1.2 gigabyte set of files on your harddrive that you'll need to delete.
