YES! Any Karl show out there is worth checking out. Also I believe Groove Fetish might dig some of their stuff

Groove Fetish
fuck yah- umm quick thoughts on some great shit to check out His HOB show from Jazz fest 2002. And his late night from Bonnaroo 1. that show I meet him at Dec 6th at the Tralf was pretty great! Get his album D is for Desiel- Denson at his finest- if you don't have it. He's always the shit- and when he breaks out that Flute- Weak in the knees! his smile and charisma alone get a room going and then he's this mighty powerful player too- and he surrounds himself with great musicians all the time! You can't go wrong.

CyberHippie
Yeah KDTU is wicked! I was just listening to 2-14-02 from the Comfort Zone yesterday. Sweet stuff! I've only seen him once, which was at Lee's Palace a few years ago, sick show!
tatterdemalion
he's the man for late-night shows. in fact, i think i've only seen him in that context the last 5-10 times. the regular shows are good, but can get a little tiring when you've heard the "to all the ladies in tha house" routine at every show. KarlDiesel is still the man though.
Weirdness
2 that I can think of off the top of my head that are excellent are: 5/02/02-House Of Blues, New Orleans(w/Warren Haynes, Melvin Sparks) Bonnaroo 6/?/02 Awesome late night set. Pretty sure this one is on the archive.org site
MuleMomma
Besides all the great live shows available out there, pick up the newest KDTU release "The Bridge" - I absolutely love this album - can listen to it 3 times in a row, and still want to hear it again. I'd recommend the 1st KDTU self-titled release too, but it's been discontinued so it's a bit harder to find. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I cannot get enough of this band
NewRider
Karl's album without Tiny Universe, Dance Lesson #2 is pretty good and easy to find. Lots of great guests too, Chris Wood, Charlie Hunter, Melvis Sparks, Zak Najor, Ron Levy and DJ Logic.
MuleMomma
I love Dance Lesson #2, but it's not nearly as addictive as the 1st or 3rd Tiny Universe albums IMHO - might have something to do with that sweet-ass guitar player Brian Jordan (or any of the other Tiny Universe players for that matter)
MuleMomma
Oh wait, Brian's not even on the 1st album, nor are many of the other TU players, so I have no idea why - perhaps Dance Lesson is more jazz-oriented while the others seem to have more of a groove (though you gotta dig that "Bumpwinder" or "I Want The Funk")
