Help me out -

A friend of mine wants to see these guys and it sold out quick. Anyone have any tips? ie. will more go on sale? Will it be tough at the door? (who the hell are they???)

Any tips are appreciated.

I downloaded a couple shows last fall from a Pearl Jam torrent site.Some folks I trade with are right into them,but I wasn't.

"Death cab for a cutie" is actually a song by the 'Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band' a british jazz/rock/comedy combo that was in The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour" accoring to their site.

It might not be immediately apparent, but the members of Death Cab for Cutie have fine senses of humor. How else can you explain the very name of the band, which they copped from a song by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band -- a group more familiar to followers of Dr. Demento than those of Guided by Voices. Though the group has only been around since 1997, it has already garnered heaps of praise and been heralded as everything from the next Built To Spill to the next Modest Mouse.

i LOVE death crabs for pubie. thems are hot tickets, i don't know how it will be but i wouldn't be surprised if it was a no go.

i wanted to go but i spaced on the date. hahaha well i kind of forgot about planning on going, money for tickets, when they went onsale and all that fun stuff.so yeah i guess i spaced on the date.

KoolHaus (fuck I hate saying/hearing/typing that name!!!) usually keeps a handful of tix for day-of sales... maybe you can work something out with one of those big bouncers ($20 usually gets you front of the line privelages... you can do better, no?)
