Just got word that this event will be sponsored by Beau's Brewery - mmm, beer.

We recorded an album!
Come on out for a rare show November 14th at Mercury Lounge.
We're a mix of instrumental jazz, rock and heavy funk with long jams. Influenced by Snarky Puppy, STS9, Lettuce and other shit like that. No stupid singer to kill the buzz.
We hope you can make it.

The Mercury lounge does live music from 8-10pm then puts on a Dj afterwards. So yeah, show up as close to 8 as possible to check out the live music. Hope to see you there. Cheers!

Re Themasses: yours truly is in Cloud City in Ottawa. We're definitely doing funk-based jamband music. (Come out on Friday to Mercury Lounge)
Ali, drummer in Themasses, joined Mother Mother around 2009 which pretty much ended Themasses.
Eric, bass player, has a Vancouver band called BEFE.

This will be our first 'showcase' type of show - no opener. It would be really great to see some skanks out!!
We'll be doing some new original tunes along with covers by Soulive, STS9, Jamiroquai and more.
Music is 8pm-10pm followed by their usual DJ setup at the Mercury Lounge.
After this show, we won't be playing again till the spring, so come if you can!

Would love to see some peeps out for this one - this will be our first ever performance. We'll be playing several originals and a few covers - largely instrumental chunky funk/jazz, a few songs with a female vocalist. I'm stoked to be playing with this group of seriously outstanding musicians - I think members of this forum will really dig it. Deathcake will be there to slaughter you as well.

I would add Mother Mother - The Sticks. I also love the video for the the title track

Try SNAP Fitness - they currently have a website offer for $9 you get the first 30 days to try it out. Then they have $30 memberships with a few up-front fees just like all of them. I just joined it in Orleans and should get my card in the mail tomorrow.

Very sad and unexpected. Brad's dedication to local, live music was nothing short of legendary! I am so grateful to him for supporting and providing so many high-quality recordings of several bands I have been involved with over the years. He was one of a kind to say the least and I always was thrilled to see him - he often showed up to the venue and set up his recording equipment before the band even arrived! Such a super nice, generous, kind soul. This is a HUGE loss.
