  8. Thought I would let everyone know that Brother Tom has set the scene for the next LYS folkadelic festival. It will be held at the Oro Campground in Orilia,ON during the August long weekend. I think this is a great idea mostly cause it's more central and the long weekend will really give us that "on vacation" feeling. I know that Caution Jam will be playing, and I'm sure there will be other familiar acts from the past.. I have no idea what has been confirmed these things usually take time. Anyways theres another date for the calenadar.. Later Daze!!
  9. Hey now folks.. I got this email from Brother Tom(Lose Yer Shoes organiser) today.. If you were into the jamband scene in the late eighties you might remember COMA TOAST... This Saturday, friends of our friend, the late Darren Kerr, will be putting on a memorial concert in his honour. There will be tons of musicians who have played with Darren over the years, including members of Crawlspace, Yellow Butterfly, Two Stone Throw and Caution Jam. Darren was the founding bass player of the COMA TOAST, an eighties/nineties jam band that toured Canada and provided opportunities for many musicians to cut their teeth in the jam scene. His aggressive bass playing would bring jams to intense climaxes again and again throughout each performance and his solid, raspy vocals would carry the band and resonate through everyone's mind. He was a lot of fun to play with, a sweet and kind guy and we of course miss him a lot! So come on down and celebrate Darren's life with us. The concert will be this Saturday, Feb. 24 at 9:30 p.m. at the Black Swan Tavern, 154 Danforth Avenue,Toronto, ON M4K 1N1, (416) 469-0537. There is no cover for this event. Peace
  10. Grateful Dead August, 27th 1972 Veneta,Oregon (check out www.surgarmegs.com for a stream) I love this show becuse of how lucid the boys are in the extreme heat of the day. Also remember making friends with piano player extrodinaire Rob Barracco one day as we drove around Richmond,VA. before a Phil show. It turned out to be his favorite as well.. Favorite show I ever saw?? I will never have an answer for that one as i will probabbly take it to my grave..
