  1. Try to park at the back on the grassy area of the parking lot. We've ended up there until sunrise a couple of times. They don't seem to mind as much back there. Bring cups for your beverages. Avoid open container hassles
  2. How many joints did it take? Get the antenna high Don't get high wayy up there with your antenna We don't want anyone falling off their roofs

  8. AHHHH ... HGTV and FOOD Network are cable only stations afaik. You'd never get those from an antenna How many stations you'll get seems to be determined by how high you can get your antenna and boosting the signal with an amp (often come with the antenna). I did a quick search and here's what one guy is getting in Guelph (just the digital channels, you get more UHH/VHF as well): WGRZ-DT 2.1 WGRZ-DT 2.2 WIVB-HD 4.1 CBLT-DT 5.1 WKBW-DT 7.1 CFTO HD 9.1 CHCH-DT 11.1 WNED-HD 17.1 WNED-SD 17.2 WNED-TH 17.3 WNLO-HD 23-1 CBLFT-D25.1 CTS-HD36.1 OMNI-2 44.1 OMNI-1 64-1 Here's the thread: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-sat/thread.cgi?3878 You may want to call this person too and grab a tower http://guelph.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-home-garden-TV-Antenna-Tower-W0QQAdIdZ143557891
  9. Makes perfect sense to me now. Thanks for that info. Not expecting a Cup or anything this season, but damn it should be fun to watch some games this season and how other teams cope with Burke's Leafs
  10. Get your high speed internet through a secondary provider. My research showed that this is a great alternative (and Canadian): http://www.teksavvy.com/en/index.asp Give them a call (their operators are in CANADA!!!) and they'll explain what they can do for you at your current location. Get Vonage http://www.vonage.ca/ for your phone. $19.95 a month for TONS of features and far superior to Bell/Rogers VOIP phones. I've had this for a couple of years now and love it. For your HD TV, get an OTR antennae. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10901&cs_id=1090102&p_id=4730&seq=1&format=2 You'd be AMAZED at how much you can pick up. The higher up you can get your antennae the better. Mine is on the side of my house and it picks up about 10-12 HD stations (uncompressed) and a bunch of SD channels. Other than that, get a Megashares, Megaupload, Rapidshare, etc. account and simply download all your HD content. Works like a charm for me.

  18. Win tix: http://www.nowtoronto.com/cgi-bin/EH/EventHandler.cgi?Actn=Entry_Form&Fnm=event242&User_ID=contests Band Buzz - Railroad Earth WIN TICKETS! Enter to WIN a pair of tickets to see Railroad Earth, August 9 at Lee’s Palace, 19+ Railroad Earth’s music is driven by the remarkable songs of front-man, Todd Sheaffer, and is delivered with seamless arrangements and superb musicianship courtesy of all six band members. They can jam with the best of them, but they’re not a jam band. They’re bluegrass influenced, but they use drums and amplifiers (somewhat taboo in the bluegrass world). RRE bristles about being lumped into any one “scene.†Not out of animosity for any other artists: it’s just that they don’t find the labels very useful. According to fiddle player Tim Carbone, “We use unique acoustic instrumentation, but we’re definitely not a bluegrass band – so that doesn’t fit. And I think the term ‘jam band’ probably refers more to the fans than to the band. I think these fans just like live music.†When the band does elect to “comment†on a song via an extended improvisation, they really cook – and have received the approval of no less than Grateful Dead bass player Phil Lesh, who knows a thing or two about jamming. To check out more, click railroadearth.com Deadline for entries is Sunday, July 26 at 11pm. One entry per household.

With a head full of songs - including You Can Get it if You Really Want, Many Rivers To Cross, Higher and Higher, Rivers of Babylon and The Harder They Come - he dreams of becoming a reggae star.
