You know they're comin' and they'll be LOUD. (I didn't see any shots of Sens fans at the Mellon ... there had to be some there no?) Awwww. Ollie ... THAT is the support they need. The "Army" is very very quiet. I've never said that the fans should roll over. "Real" fans are in it until the end and don't bail until that fat lady starts singing. There sure were a LOT of Sens fans around these parts (where I work) last year, and earlier in the season. They have all gone away. Even the people I work with at CBC Ottawa who were PROUD supporters and chirping away even until a couple of weeks ago no longer show their support. Fairweather fans. Like I said, ones that weather the storms like you, like some of the "asshole" Habs fans you talk about who sucked it up through a bunch of lean years recently, are the ones that should be applauded. But, at the same time, fans always have to remember how they treated others while their team was at the "top". It'll come back. Trust me, a lot of Toronto fans couldn't have cared less about the Sens, but the relentless badgering through the last handful of years out of playoff reach got under their skin.

There's a Hyatt in central Rochester (very close to venue). Tried Priceline yesterday up to $65 but it wouldn't bite. Downtown Rochester is pretty sketchy. You want to park somewhere secure, or get outside the city.

Good one ya (and all the others) for deciding it's your time to quit. Keep it up. It's hard work, but the reward is priceless. I was able to quit when I was 22. I'd had enough and it was making me feel sick, especially on nights out drinking. My girlfriend and I did it at the same time (finished a carton on a run of Dead shows and said that was it when they were finished). By doing it together we were able to support one another. You're lucky that now there are less people smoking, less places to smoke, and that many more people to support you if you need it. Everyone is different. Once my body was clear of them I have never had cravings. There have been a couple of times i have partaken in a "fun" cigarette where somebody had rolled with tobacco. Fucking disgusting. Made me want to hurl. Keep at it! You CAN do it. Good luck.
