  4. Weird game last night. I gotta say, the last 10 mins of the 3rd period and the OT were SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH. Teams were going all out and it was like a frenzy on ice. Shootout is fun too, but it doesn't really make it feel like there's a true "winner" of the game. I'm still amazed at the improvement in play by Antropov.

  7. That's it! I'm calling the IFPI and BPI! File sharer! LOL .... nope, you're going to "review" it and then go "holy fuck that's awesome, i'm going to the movie AND buying the soundtrack". Word of mouth grassroots, etc. etc. yadda yadda brb
  8. I've enjoyed listening to the soundtrack. I'll post it if anyone wants it.
  9. Yeah, but CT Money is actually worth something!!! Holy shit, just thought of it: $1 USD < $1 CanTire Who's got the funny munny now???
  10. Pay it in Monopoly Money
  11. It wasn't "me" it was my roommate and he's taken off and is backpacking in Bolivia somewhere. I'm not getting scared at this point and don't believe much of the threatening letters/posts/etc. until they are substantiated. So much of this can be scare tactics by the RIAA posted to the internet to make people think twice. I got an email from my ISP once because they had been approached by one of the watchdogs that tries to protect Hollywood content. The ISP basically said that they were under obligation to contact me and ask me to stop. Well, i never stopped and never heard anything again. AT this point, i don't think that they have a legal leg to stand on when it comes to Canadian citizens. Anyone?
  12. With the stuff being posted on the TMB group you gotta wonder. I'm thinking they'll grab somebody new, but who knows? Phil's beard got pretty damn big that year. Better start growing one Not too big yet in this pic;
  13. Well, the Genesis tour is over, but recreations of killer past tours continue. With the amazing tribute bands like The Musical Box, Turn It On Again, and the Slippermen, there's tons of proggy Gensis to enjoy. TMB should be adding a couple of dates in Toronto soon for their final tour of Selling England By The Pound. Looking further into the future, i'm excited to see that TMB will be dipping into a 1976 tour ....
  14. Yes, and finding one that is music oriented. To me, that was the best thing about OINK. So many of them are focused on movies, tv, games and software (not that there's anything wrong with that )
  15. I agree with ya on Ordinary People ... it's just killer. Love the horns. The thing that I find different about this album (compared to the last few that he's released) is that it doesn't follow a theme and the songs don't really have any correlation with one another. Don't know if I really worded that correctly, but it's for sure different than say "Living With War" "Are You PAssionate" "Prairie Wind" "Greendale", etc. The songs are growing on me.
  16. Move on to a site that you pay a subscription for (and no need for share ratios )
  17. SWEET! Just got 2 CD copies of Chrome Dreams II in the mail today Keep an eye on the mail if you ordered via MusicToday.
  18. Jackie was supposedly pretty sick, so it may not have been him .... but it could have been . I really enjoyed listening to the show at work today, but i need to hear it louder (or with the headphones on). I thought Trey was sounding fantastic (on guitar). His vocals were pretty week, and in combo with Phil it's almost a little comical, but all in good fun. I did take a run at Bar 17 the other day and was surprised at how bad his vocals are on that and how poorly produced it is. I sure hope that Phil drops this one down to us as a soundboard too ... would love to really crank it up and get in the groove.
  19. The show wasn't a sellout either ... anyone could get in (with $$ that is ) http://www.poststar.com/articles/2007/10/22/news/latest/doc471cd60f62dff394717956.txt

  22. Always blows me away seeing kids who kick ass at playing music. Check these ones out:
  23. I saw that vid earlier and was blown away that they could continue the performance. WTF was up with that. The link at the bottom of the article takes you to another piece that explains what happened and how some of the "excuses" just don't hold water. That performance is an embarassment. They should have done a second take and laughed about it than finish a show on such a shitty note ... or at least done one more song as an apology to the crowd
