  1. Ollie ... PERFECT! You're on. What better way to wager on something and have the prize be something we both love I'll have to make a post in the Cavern about that show. Maybe we could lure a few more Skanks out to it. Should be a fun time. Don't forget to watch for those Genesis commercials in the Sens game tonight. I put 'em there
  2. Shit, I just got a guy at work here who's an Islanders fan to place a wager on that series and he stands behind his team!!! You gotta believe ... and then give me your money .
  3. I'm beginning to think you've been hanging around LukeKungZero! Rather than believing your side you attack something that is of no significance to the topic at hand. Do I have to quote some Greek mythology or some existentialist play? All talk, no action. Who's driving your bandwagon??? I don't need you bet to "humour me". I'll take on a bet from a Sens fan who want to bet on their team because they BELIEVE in them and truly think that they are going to win!
  4. 204. Songs attributed to a BAND but featuring only ONE member of that band on it. 1. The Beatles - Yesterday (Paul McCartney) 2. Blind Melon - Life Ain't So Shitty (Shannon Hoon) 3. Dave Matthews Band - I'll Back You Up (this should be obvious, and feel free to hate on me) 4. Allman Brothers - Little Martha (Duane of course - original album version) 5. The Who - Blue, Red and Grey (Pete Townshend) 6. The Beatles - Blackbird (Paul McCartney) 7. Little Feat - Two Trains (Lowell George) 8. The Beatles - Within You Without You (George Harrison) 9. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Into My Arms 10. Genesis - Horizons (Steve Hackett) 11. 12.
  5. Bragging rights? That's empty. People seem to brag whether they have a reason to or not. There needs to be some sort of tangible item on the line. What have you got to put up??
  6. Hey, i'm not trying to razz anyone here ... just sayin' there's that prob with some players when they get longer term contracts that sucks. By far, the Phillips deal is a better one, IMHO.
  7. So, does that mean you're ponying-up to the bet AD??? It's been my experience in the past, that most Sens fans don't like to bet on their team's success in the playoffs. I'm willing to offer up a wager on this series as well ... I say the Pens are going to win ... money? discs?
  8. This band is fantastic and I highly encourage people to check them out. The last couple of gigs in Toronto were a blast! Greeting all around the world! We have had a fantastic releasing of Grand National into the world. The album debuted at #1 on the Australian charts, #1 on the US Billboard New Artist Charts and debuted in the top 20 in France and tohttp://www.clifgreennotes.comp 30 in Australia. We’re excited that you all have loved the album so much and we look forward to playing the new songs live in a town near you soon. Speaking of this we are happy to announce the full Grand National T our through the United States with the dates listed below. We are proud to tell you that on this tour we are teaming up with CLIF Bar and their GreenNotes program to make this a green tour through the US. Our goal is to lessen our impact on the earth by using biodiesel fuel for our tour buses; offsetting the tour’s CO2 emissions through the purchase of clean, renewable wind energy credits; using recycled paper and vegetable based inks for printed materials; providing organic cotton merchandise options for fans; and minimizing the idling of tour buses. We are very pleased to have a partner in this endeavor and we look forward to working with all of you to collectively decrease our footprint on the earth. You all can join us in this mission by obtaining presale tickets through our website and opting to purchase a carbon offset (only 40 cents) for your share of emissions when you come to the concert. Stay tuned for more ways that we can work together on this effort. 9. Steam rises under a forbidding sky, as lava from the Piton de la Fournaise volcano drains into the Indian Ocean. The 2,632 metres (8,635 feet) mount, on Reunion Island, has erupted three times this year. The latest phase began on 2 April. The island, a French territory, neighbours Mauritius.
  10. Right on ... cheer a little for me too . I can't believe they aren't sold out already. COME ON ... It's the PENGUINS!
  11. I hope that he doesn't get afflicted by the McCabe Syndrome now that he's signed on with a very similar conract. For the sake of fans everywhere, there should be a 2 or 3 year cap on contracts, IMHO.
  12. That concert hall show was great. It was the 25th anniversary of Bob Marley's death and they paid great hommage (sp?) to the man by playing a killer EXODUS. I had gotten into DMB via the internet in 1994 though a connection in Virginia. Ordered a few CDs in the mail via Bama Rags. Loved it. Got a number of people hooked that winter and told them that this band would be big. I tried to get the people i was with to see DMB at Lee's Palace in October '94 right after the Eric Clapton concert, but couldn't convince the gang. Bummer. I did end up seeing the band, and meeting them, in St. Gallen Switzerland in the summer of 1995 at a 3 day festival there. It was great. Nice guys. I've got some pics somewhere (non-scanned yet). We snuck backstage and also got to meet Joan Baez while Joe Cocker was on stage . DMB started to fizzle with me not too long after. With their massive audiences, and musical direction, I chose to let others have my seat at DMB shows . Haven't had much interest in their recent albums either. I would like to see the band again sometime.
  13. This is an interesting article with a couple of cool videos showing how this special bike and computer function. Check it out: http://www.wired.com/politics/onlinerights/news/2007/04/kinberg_0410
  14. Hence my comparison of LukeKungZero to some sort of reoccurring rash

(AP Photo/Miami-Dade Corrections Department) Ed Belfour arrest photos MIAMI BEACH (AP) - Florida Panthers goaltender Ed Belfour was arrested at a popular South Beach bar early Monday after a scuffle with a police officer. Belfour and teammate Ville Peltonen were at the bar when security guards from the club asked police to make Belfour leave, police said. The 41-year-old native of Carman, Man., refused and walked toward the officer "in a fighting stance" and pushed him, a Miami Beach police report said. Belfour pulled away from the officer trying to arrest him and grabbed his shirt. Belfour then fell forward on the ground, kicking and refusing to place his hands behind his back, the report said. Belfour had slurred speech, blood shot eyes and smelled of alcohol, police said. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence. Peltonen, 33, was charged with criminal mischief after he broke a metal pole off a fire rescue truck parked in the area, a police report said. Belfour was released later Monday from Miami-Dade County jail on $1,500 bond. Peltonen was released on $500 bond. "We have been informed about the incident that occurred last night and we are currently in the process of gathering all the information," the Panthers said in a statement. "We have no further comment at this time." While playing for the Dallas Stars in 2000, Belfour pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest following a scuffle with a security guard at an upscale hotel. He was sentenced to two years' probation and a $3,000 fine.
  16. You are simply wayyyyyy too good for us deranged lowlifes. You are all over the map. Personally, i don't care about all the items you seem to feel that you have to quantify to us. Who cares how many hours/pages you read a day and for how long? Who cares about your Six Degrees of KungLukeZero that you continually write about? You seem to imply that your "shit on everyone here" nature is simply us chumps not understanding your intellectually superior satirical writings. Give me a break. If you are so well read, and such an amazing writer, your satire WOULD be understood. Instead you go all over the map in your rantings, and write disjointed and poorly spelled letters to politicians. You say you are the Asinus aureus? Well maybe you are. I would think that you would have a better understanding and compassion for us serfs though, if you were.
  17. They just want the high scoring game. Should have stuck them with the NJ game and a friggin' glowing puck! Don't you just want to throttle this face?
  18. No, I got an Oldsmobile (and a 20 beater of a BMW)
  19. Very true ... but I'm sure that Bettman would have given it a shot. As much as I want Pittsburgh to win this series, i'd also like to see Crosby fold under the playoff pressure. It's only because of his "star" power that NBC is interested in airing their games. So, this Saturday night, prime time, we Canadians get to see the exciting match-up of NJ v. Tampa ... Whoop dee fucking doo! I know that I'll be watching the Buffalo game on TSN for sure.
  20. William, Here are a bunch more from that collection. I don't know if this is where you came across them in the first place: http://thrillingwonder.blogspot.com/2007/04/dry-valleys-of-antarctica.html http://www.rosssea.info/landforms.html
