  1. interesting to find this thread here because I just got stung/bit (whatever they do) by one. My old car has been sitting on the property for about six months and they made a nest in the trunk, pretty big one too!

  2. hey zero' date=' the revolver is no big f'n deal to me. It does not send any false messages to the young or the old, is sounds like it was mearly just a creative costume idea to some fun to the atmosphere! Guelphstudent has a severe case of the "overreactions" and should chill down and quite bringing bad karma to the table with the personal insults to zero. It was a Fucking Toy Gun! [/quote']

Perhaps there could have been more appropriate costume ideas which could also have added some fun to the atmosphere.

    or this... cday29.jpg

  3. Guelph Student, no one here is asking you to like/accept/admire/tolerate Luke. However, I don't think it is necessary to explain to a public board of people, (many who happen to be friends or acquaintances of Luke) your personal opinions of him. This is not Luke's board, homepage etc. Its a board for people who like music, and chatter. Coming on here and getting extremely personal about your dislikes for people in a public forum is an un-necessary and at least for me, an unwelcomed act.

  4. Wasn't Sybil an abused child who was full time psychotic? The details of Sybil's stor might prevent you from just throwing around her name as an adjective if you thought it through.

Kid, your name says it all. GuelphStudent.

I was a Guelph Student too and could see your overzealous judgment coming from the opposite end of wineguard back in 2001.

We should meet up and I'll introduce you to the people like you from 5 years ago. You may not recognize them as you now though because they've since stopped with the judgement fest and cease to identify themselves soley by their perceived politics.

It took you 2 posts to expose your sexual orientation....find a personality to identify with outside of where you choose to park your libedo.

I fuck green peppers for the record.

    Deeps

Deeps, that was fantastic!!!! I just grew a whole new admiration for a stranger.

Luke, have fun, I have to admit, that gun freaked me out on a mushroom trip a few years back, but, no harm, no foul.

    the moment has passed...

  5. I will try and keep the prelogue to a minimum... I love the Sopranos, and this is an example of why I love it so much. please, enjoy the dialogue, think about it and then please, forgetaboutit....

    let me set the setting.

AJ, Anthony and Carmela's son was caught vandalizing the school swimming pool, I know, how do you vandalize a pool... here is the family punishment, if you are unfamiliar with the show, well, you still may find some humour.

    Characters---Carmela---mom, Tony---Dad, AJ--son

scene in the kitchen, AJ approaches his parents who are on a united front....

Carmela--"your father and I have discussed your punishment."

Tony--"you're grounded for a month. No nintendo, no DVDs, no skateboards."

    Carmela---"no computer."

AJ---"But I use the computer for school"

Carmela---"Get the typewriter out of the basement"

    AJ---"Dad threw it out"

Carmela---"Then use a pen, it worked for Einstein; it can work for you"

Tony---"On top of that, you're going to work your little ass off around here. Which you should have been doing anyway"

    AJ---"ok"

Tony---"Ok or not, you've got no choice; number one--you go to the garage, you clean it out, you make it neat and organized"

Carmela---"Jackie Jr. did that the other day"

Tony---"You see what I am saying about him?"

You know, you outta take a few lessons from Jackie Apreu; get your act together, kid's pre-med from Rutgers: he finds time to come down here and help out"

Carmela---"and you're going to clean the gutters"

    AJ---"what gutters?"

    Tony---"The ones on the roof"

    AJ---"Where?"

Tony---"The things that collect the water!"

AJ---"I don't know what you mean!?"

    Tony---"Don't get smart with me!!"

Carmela---"The drain pipes for the rain!?"

    fucking brilliant.

  6. thanks, just sharing my thoughts on the fact that I think I speak my mind a little too much... however, i don't want to draw attention away from the middle east, that's my concern... hoping this weekend brings good thoughts, motions, and actions to a place that desperately needs it right now!

self erasing CDs??? man, that's a little harsh!

  7. I realize that its been quite sometime since I have posted any sort of personal thought. Quite some time ago, I came to the realization that this is not the place where I should share my opinions on subjects because you should never share an opinion that is not respected. On this board, I am a relative stranger to the overwhelming majority; and nobody cares about what some dude thinks about this or that, especially when it conflicts with another more prominant character on board, and rightly so!!! I have never been one to have scrupples, and sometimes it takes me a while to realize obvious situations. Anyhow, tonight I am going to make an exception, for the simple reason of fact that I don't want to lose what I am thinking in my head at the moment. I want to share it, and to be honest, I am at home alone at the present time, and its too late to contact anyone else, so, whoever opens this thread will be in danger of listening to my pointless rant....

Ok, first, this is obviously related to the topic, I am a little concerned about the happenings in Lebanon, and Israel over the past few days, my main concern/fear is how far this conflict could escalate, and the obvious reprocutions that would follow.

About ten days ago I rented a couple of flicks from blockbuster.. Yes, I am a very big fan of NO MORE LATE FEWS---yeehaw.

I should mention that I am a big, big fan of foreign politics, especially the politics of the United States. I studied in depth, both American history and literature, and I have always had a keen interest in their politics.

Well, that evening I rented a couple of politically motivated flicks... One was "Syriana"--which is a great flick, rather enjoyed it... The second is a documentary called "Why We Fight". Which I have procrastinating watching until this evening. I find as a general rule of thumb, you need to be in the mood to watch a documentary and I would suggest that the news of the past couple of days put me in the right mood.

The film is good, there was no shocking discoveries made, I have heard most of this before as have most of you, i would predict. However, their were some interesting stories, and twists, and suggestions made that the U.S. is fighting for the wrong reasons.... It almost seems redundant, but, at the same time, I find that sometimes you need a reminder to what is going on out there. As mentioned in the movie, the people of the U.S. (and Canada) suffer from amnesia.

Anyways, the point of this story, has more to do with a matter of coincidence and how that has made me think... During the later stages of the film, during a moment that alludes to the Middle East, they play part of a song in the background, a song I am familiar with, because I have the CD. Its from Leftfield---Leftism, I can't remember the name of the song by heart, but, I am listening to the CD as I type, so, I might be able to provide that information later on.

Well, I have been a pretty lucky cat in my days. i had the wonderful opportunity to do some traveling in my past, and on one particular excursion, I ended up in Israel. When the song came on in the background, I recognized it and it immediately reminded me of a particular moment of my travels. I took a walk down to the beaches of Haifa on the Meditteranean, and I listened to this CD, and it invoked dreams, thoughts, visions in my head of conflict, and war. I remember watching a warplane fly overhead, and I thought about the conflicts of Israel's past, and the issues of that time....

Today, I watched on CNN, that rockets were launched at Haifa from Southern Lebanon, and I heard that Israel was warning that if such an attack was taken out, their would be major reprocutions...

I am under no illusion that this is nothing more than a coincidence, however, because I have a lively imagination, and I do tend to get a worry a little too much at times, this has hightened my concern. I don't want to alarm anyone else, and I don't want to consume myself with thoughts of happenings elsewhere that happen on a regular basis, I want to sleep well, I want to golf tomorrow, have a nice bbq with friends and hopefully have sex.

But, perhaps, taking aside a few minutes to contemplate what is going on, and to think of where things may be going, and to realize that when I was in Israel, I came into contact with nothing but good people. I didn't recognize differences, I had a wonderful experience, and i would hate to see such a wonderful place with two amazing cultures be separated, destroyed, maimed, marked, by terrible atrocities that incite actions of revenge against a neighbour. On the news tonight, a spokesperson for Arabic media, put things into perspective. Escalation of this conflict will only encite more hate, hurt, and fuel for future extremists on both sides. I wish somehow, (I need to interrupt and recognize the fact that I speak not only from the voice of ignorance, but of hypocricy as well, since I don't shy away from conflict when I shoul-- however...) that light can be shed on this situation, and a realization that tolerance, acceptance, and communication is a far more effective approach to co-existance.

that is all, good night, and Peace---out.

oh, the title of the song is "Inspection--check one"

  8. ((good Vibes)) hopefully the road to recover is a sucessful one.... I just finished "Perfume Jitterbug" by Tom Robbins, it doesn't have the depth as those other books you mentioned, but, its a nice story, makes you think a little and puts a smile on your face. I haven't read any of his other books, but I hear they are all pretty good.
