The whole thing does ineed stink!
I really hope we (Canada) can keep out of it. It seems as though we don't have a whole lotta choice at times, they say jump and we say how hi... But, we have to keep our nose clean, and our fingers out of other countries pies.
Aren't they getting close to running out of time for no questions asked 9/11 revenge?

I will be present in mind and body...
Tungsten - have any plans pre show?

Hey Phishy,
The Comfort Zone (college and spadina) is where most things go on. Other great places for music are Chicago's (queen street and John) and The Orbit Room (college and Euclid).
The music store that I hear is the best is, Long & McQuade (925 Bloor W)

Good call, LJFH. I used to listen to the spinner jamband channel all the time. A great way to here lots of different stuff. And wicked stuff at that!
Time to re-install spinner...
-
Thanks Jason, that was wicked!
The surly waitress never said anything either...

Is Jen Dirken back with them?

You all gotta rent or download 'Super Troopers'. It's about a group of dysfunctional highway patrol officers.
The first 6 minutes had me on the floor.
(tip: smoke the sweet chiba first)

Mikey Houser has died and gone to Heaven, where he is met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter. St.Peter welcomes Mikey and introduces him to Jerry Garcia.
JG: "Hey Mikey I'm gonna show you around the place and answer any questions that you might have."
Mikey thanks Jerry and they go on their tour with Jerry pointing out the various attractions that Heaven has to offer.
JG: "Ya know man, you oughta think about coming and playing with us on the
weekends. We have quite the band assembled. Stevie Ray Vaughn, myself and Jimi Hendrix play with Jon Bonham and Jaco Pastorius. And every now and then we have Jim Morrison or Janis Joplin sing. Bill Graham is still tryin to figure out how he can sell tickets."
MH: "Wow! That would be excellent, thanks a bunch!" As they continue on their tour Mikey looks into a room and is quite startled at who he sees.
MH: "Umm, Jerry am I missing something here? I could swear that I just saw Trey Anastsio picking up his guitar in that room we just walked by!" Jerry looks back to the room and then smiles.
JG: "Oh,no! Ha,ha. You got it all wrong. That's just God. He just thinks he's Trey!"

Still at work?! Wow, your a hard core trooper...
Yeah last night was good. Bushman brought a couple of mad cannons that thoroughly destroyed us!
Oh yeah, I think the band was good too.

Your getting a show!?
When, where, how?
I've been wanting a radio show for years on CUIT or CKLN...
-
Thanks for all the kind words people!!
I'm listening to Nero 06-30-2000 right now and it's spirit lifting...
-
It finally happened, I've become yet another victim of the cruel internet industry. I'm now jobless...
So...
Since I'm gonna be listening to an awful lot of music for a while I'm looking for some suggestions on where to begin!
I've Started off with a little string cheese 7-16-02 and it's doing real well...
Next......?

Can't go wrong with "Let's Get it On!"
When you get back you and the bnb boys should jam that mofo out hard!!

Well one thing I've been doing to cut down on the size shows take up is: I've been buying doulble cases, and making a booklet thing for the front, that stores the 3rd cd. So now, 3 cd's fit in one case. That helps a little...
However since I've been buying spindles I have no cases, and I must buy more. I've found double slims for $0.50 in Toronto. Anyone found better deals?
-
Wow, I'd love to get my hands on one of those Canadian Flag Phish stickers...
I remember I saw them at the Amp, why didn't I buy one?
-
Mmmmm... Other related needs....
-
That show is crazy with the jambands all over the set. Unfortunately they usually play shitty music. In school sci and panic were always on the walls... Just noticed this season that buffy had phish and sci on her bedroom wall. Wicked! Apparently it's on the set guys, he's a big head...
and yes i admit I watch it... but! My wife got me hooked on it...
-
Hehe, thanks Booche...
If more people were able to respect each others difference of opinion there would be many less wars...
-
Well I'm with you guys... I love Phish and all, don't get me wrong... But I'm really interested to see what SCI have going on for New Years... I think if I had to make a choice (after phish have been playing again for a while) and all thigns were considered equal, I'd probably choose cheese over Phish... Blasphemy I know...

I'm a sucker for a wedding....

Hmmmm... Now I'm having second thoughts about Santana... I've been looking at past setlists from this tour (www.santana.com). Each night is almost identicle and it's mostly newer stuff... No Rusted Root colaborations... Hmmmm.... $42 for lawn? What to do...
-
I kinda think Santana will be a little better this time around. He isn't the pop sensation anymore and won't be expected to do stuff off the last album as much. I think it'll be good old Santana... Plus with Rusted Root opening, if they did a 25 min Exodus together like they did a few years ago at Kingswood, I may just loose my mind!
-
They are doing cheap tickets for Santana? Is that only available at the box office? Because the cheapest ones on ticket master are like $30.
-
I'll be at Santana..
Although I didn't think they were doing the $10.70 bit for this one...

Canada is an AMAZING country, but we have really bad neighbours. Our moms don't want us hanging out with those bad kids nextstore, but invariably we always seem to get sucked into their trouble making...
Can't we separate? There is lots of room in the south pacific!
