Maxells and Cursor/Gigastorage may burn ok for you, but they won't last very long. I've lost music from Maxell cd's in less than a year (that I've taken care of).
All the cheap cd's are made in the same factory in Taiwan, Ritek. And whether they burn for you or not isn't really the issue, they don't last. Most serious traders will not even look at a Ritek (Taiwan) cd-r.
Cd's made in Japan are made in an excellent factory called Taiyo Yuden. These are, Fuji's, HP, Sony, some TDK's as well as other brands.
My suggestion, stay FAR away from anything made in Taiwan and ONLY buy cd's made in Japan or Mitsui's.
Just my $0.02 from what I've picked up in the traders community.

I was going to go to kitchener, but I don't think I'll be able to make my ride.
I'm working on another though, so who knows...
Maybe see ya there Marc!

I just ordered 100 Fuji's for signigicantly more, but still cheaper than in Canada. Worked out to $80 something, and there may be a $10 rebate (hopefully it's valid for Canadians). Made the purchase through borderfree.com so the price is guranteed, won't get burned with duty etc, and they don't bill till it crosses the border.
Here's the link if anyone is interested.

Ed's Record World (Toronto) is supposed to have a bunch of copies in tomorrow for $28.99
-
Cool. Ed's Record world said they would have more in tomorrow. If not I'll head over to Bay Video...
Right on, right on...

Man, it seems to be sold out at a bunch of places...
Everyone can like the music I like, only after I get the cd's, dvd's, and tickets that I want.
-
just make sure they are Japanese TDK's and not the Taiwanese ones. I was at Cost Co. the other day and the had 30 packs of Japan ones and 100 spindles of the Taiwan ones.
Taiwan = Ritek = Bad!

Yeah it was a major let down. Even despite all the hype and everything else it was a pretty disapointing episode. What's also disapointing is that I thought the Simpsons might actually make Canada look cool. Just the usual pot shots.
I hope the Phish episode makes up for it!

At first when I walked in I didn't know what to make of all the computer equipment. But I gotta say, once I stepped outside and burned I came back into a musical playground! It definetly wasn't something to dance too though, I found it was very mentally stimulating as opposed to physically stimulating. Just sit back and soak it all in! That being said though there were a few songs that I could totally see 100's of bodies grooving hard too in some crazy club, in one big mass movement of bodies... Cool stuff, gotta be in the right frame of mind though. I'd see him again.
To pin it down the best comparison I could make would be sort of a Floyd/Devo mixture, for the new millenium...
