Fantastic musicians playing fantastic music is the bottom line here. I loved the show that I saw(thanks again cowboy ), and I don't give 2 shits for any of the "cover band" shit that people may spout. Don't let that talk discourage you if you are thinking of going! You may enjoy yourself as much as cowboy or myself. I like reading most of MarcO's posts, but that was a terrible analogy imo(sorry man ).

QFT (quoted for truth) I also saw The Slip first at Oswego. Only difference was that it was Friedman's Jaco-esque playing that had me mesmerized. I remember I turned to my buddy and said (jokingly) "this guy makes Mike Gordon look like a chimpanzee".... my friend was in such a Phish-enamoured state that he got quite offended, we still laugh about that to this day. Oh and LOL at the herding cats reference, thats funny as shit.
