  1. When my cousin was a kid she got hit by a car and got a settlement. When she turned eighteen she got her money and bought a brand new 1976 Camaro, blue with a white leather interior and a hi-end 8-track sound system. I loved cruising around in that car the few times I had the chance as a kid.

She got married and her husband took absolute ownership of that car. He'd wash it by hand every week despite the fact that he'd only drive it maybe twice a summer. When they split up he actually got the car.

The last time I was in that car was maybe 12-15 years ago. It only had about 25,000 miles on it and it was still mint. The white leather interior was immaculate and whattya know, he never updated the sound system. It still had the original 8-track player in it and nothing more. I'm sure it still does.

    Bitchin'.

  2. I used to have an interesting 8-track collection but I have no idea where it is. I don't think it was in the fire...maybe it's at my mom's house somewhere.

I remember it included Van Halen's first album, Bat Out Of Hell, and a Cheech and Chong album.

  3. Talk of packaging and autographs and how-much-you-paid without sharing photos of said record with the shots of scotch is about as lame as my asking for luck vibes on ebay auction bidding (thanks again everybody' date=' I hope you can accept my apologies for being a douchebag on those).

Remember, Make it visual, hipsters - or else, why does it even matter?[/quote']

lol, well a lot of people know me on this thread and I know I have this stuff. You too thread bashers i have never met, maybe scwha once at a nero party. I have extra's why not share the wealth. My collection is quite large. I am an vinyl addict to the fourth degree. As far as glass a scotch I drink scotch a lot. Since being employed at the lcbo for the past two years my palate for good booze has developed. I have a few nice bottles at home I take a splash of when i listen to records. Good enough explanation for ya brah's lol douch. now back to record talk.

    Which LCBO you working at?

  4. Not much luck today ordering tix onlinje for Canandaigua, slow getting through and now nothing but lawns. I'll see what comes up at a later date.

I was occasionally pulling pavs (like row NNN) up until just a few minutes ago. I've refreshed too many times so I'm forbidden.

    Best I pulled was DDD.

  5. So I (and Freak By Night' date=' I assume) am the only person who thinks this looks great?!?!

Ah, I'm not that pumped about it. The lineup is not bad, but not great. Still, there are many acts I'm interested in seeing this year. I will go most nights. I'll be in Saratoga Springs for Phish shows during the first part of the bluesfest.

Buried deep in the line-up announcement was Goddo, a power trio rock band that played at my high school way back before many of you were born! Goddo was my favourite band for a while when I was 14.

I didn't see Greg Godovitz in there!

  7. So I (and Freak By Night, I assume) am the only person who thinks this looks great?!?!

$20 a day, I'd have a not bad time at:

    Don Felder

    Traffic

    Matt Anderson

    Pink Mountaintops

    Procol Harum w/ NACO

    JJ Grey & Mofro

    Gogol Bordello

    Deltron 3030

    Violent Femmes

    DBT

    Dr. Hook

    Jeff Tweedy

    Styx

    John Mayall

    Foreigner

    Blondie (!)

    Trombone Shorty

    Gary Clark Jr.

    BNL

    Journey

    Lady Gaga

    Queens of the Stone Age

Like, c'mon now, that's not a bad pile of music for me to ride my bike to. Plus they have more to announce. Did I read somewhere that they were holding back a biggie until April? Maybe still a Beck or Boss or Neil Young to come?

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all there.

And yes, Jazzfest is better, as is becoming the norm. Which is pretty awesome when you think about it.
