  1. The wrong weekend? Like the one with Springsteen and Arcade Fire? That can't be wrong.

I really don't get Arcade Fire. It's not them, it's me.

I'm very excited about Springsteen, and if I can possibly get out of this without sounding like a whiner I'll say that there are many, many acts on the first weekend that I would be very excited to see.

  2. Okay' date=' so clearly the sanctuary is just a shadow of what it was pre-bot attack, and while I'm not really sure why it remains so quiet, I now have a clue as to some of the problem, and it seems very fix-able.

I was at a social gathering the other night and talked to two different parties who have been kicked off since the bot fiasco and have been asking bouche to reinstate their accounts for some time, and he has yet to do so. I was shocked! And if there are two, there are probably many more!

bouche, whassup!?!? C'mon, how about sifting through your old emails and reinstate people's accounts! Let's revive this once-lively scene we got here.

    C'mon, who's with me?!?!?!

(think Animal House - Belushi and his non-inspirational speech)[/quote']

I would have taken care of that if they had talked to me.

There were alot of accounts that I managed to deal with and either reset a password or modify a contact email for password retrieval. A very small number of people were still unable to login despite resetting passwords. Most of the time they are able to by using a different browser or computer.

whoever you talked to should probably shoot me an email.

    Thank-you. I will tell them.

  4. To that end, I've long likened going to see the Allmans to going to see the Montreal Canadiens (or iconic sports franchise of your choosing): so long as they're not god awful, it's as much about the institution as it is the guys currently in the lineup. If Gregg wants to keep flying the flag with some new blood for a few more years, I say more power to him.

Agreed, but I think the Allman flag alone wouldn't sustain any sizeable audience, certainly not enough for something like, say, a Beacon run. I might be totally wrong about that, but I think the guitar players they are losing really helped rebuild the current ABB fanbase.

But hey, would it be so bad to have Gregg playing with Ringo's All-Starr Band?

Derek Trucks Band, Warren Haynes opened

Derek Trucks had just turned 14 and he was spectacular. The info above is a little bunked: I don't remember the Trucks Band opening (according to wiki his band didn't form until three years later), the opening band was billed simply as "The Warren Haynes Band".

  6. Thanks Bradm! Just arrived in NYC and went straight to Morrison Hotel to pick up my awesome birthday present from Heather: a signed' date=' numbered framed photo of Keith Richards shot by Ethan Russell.

You might wanna go to this in March then...you can meet Ethan here in Ottawa:

Guess I should have mentioned that my birthday present included a ticket to that!
