  1. I'm still rocking on board the bus....I've said it before and I'll say it again Graham (spelled wrong) and Tim's harmony is sooooooo very hard to beat and/or come by. (even compared to other siblings i've heard - their's is still of the better I've heard or at least that I can think of off the top of my head.)

[color:purple]Obviously you've never heard any heady Oasis boots.

  2. I really hope you made this show, because you would not have been disappointed.

Yo, because of cash in the purse, guns blast in the hearse

A vast universe when the last is the first

The past been a curse, I need some asprin to nurse

It's your cash getting earth, I ask when it hurts

A passionate burst of some last-minute work

The first human bodies are living last in this Earth

Puffing grass when it works, a bastard at birth

But at last planet Earth, 5 Jurass finish first

(Stashed in this verse) Burning like gas in a torch

(Jurass in a fort) Some don't see past their front porch

(Masking a smirk) No doubt my class been alert

Verbal splash for your thirst, 5 Jurass finish first

  3. I've gotta show some love here for "Jimi Thing". Also, "Riverboat Fantasy" by David Wilcox:

Life for me is a riverboat fantasy

    Watchin'the sun go down

    A rock and roll band

With a reefer in my hand

Now look at that wheel go around

    Cocaine kisses and moonshine Misses

    That's the life for me

I'm sailing away from my heartache

    On a riverboat fantasy

  4. They might seem a little out of place in that lineup, but they will certainly boost the attendanced numbers, if somewhat artificially (with them not being a "true" jazz act).

I often find that with "jazz" and "blues" fests (and not just in Ottawa), many of the performers are several generations removed from the genre in question. I think that sometimes, promoters rely a little too heavily on the "jazz/blues is in everything" caveat, which is how you end up with Black Eyed Peas at Bluesfest. (And this is not to say that I am a purist with regards to jazz or blues, just an observation).

  5. Yep, awesome tune & version. I have this on a DVD of various Who video's & live footage. Great stuff.

Esau, you're unreal. It is my dream to some day see someone post a link to a live recording/video that you don't already have. Oh to play with your collection for just a day. :)

  6. Definitely nay from this end. I thought it was a little odd in the past, then I saw a good friend of mine get in trouble at work when an anonymous tipster (actually an angry ex) tipped her employer off to some stuff that was on her MySpace Page. Since then I decided that e-mail is just plenty for me.

Plus, much like scottieking, I waste plenty of time online as it is.

  7. So this isn't something that hinders my enjoyment of the site, but is somewhat of a curiosity:

I use Safari (1.0.3 [v.85.8.1]) on a PowerBook G4. For some reason, avtars and signatures have never been displayed when I browse the site on this computer. Recently, however, they appear when I'm lurking, but as soon as I log in, they're gone again.

Any thoughts, bouche (or anyone else)? I'm assuming it's just a compatibility issue. With all of the different web browsers that people are using these days, I would imagine it's tough to program a site that is 100% compatible with all of them. Not a big deal at all, but it's odd that they disappear when I log in.
