Don't worry about it Rev! Dreams are very complex personal things. Alot of times in dreams people you see may not be what they represent to your sub-concious. Also BradM should feel privlidged to be so well liked he is now showing up in fellow skanks dreams!!

I think that you should contact any local antique dealers and show them your wares. Get quotes from each one and then decide which quote you deem to be fair.

Another option if you can't find a seller is list them in an antique auction. If the dishes are in high demand with collectors you could get a pretty penny..

Thank you for all of your kind words. I actually felt really bad and thought I may have overreacted a bit. Well alot. I'm not a problem maker by any means and it took alot for me to actually say something to my boss.

I think you guys are right. I will just carry on like nothing happened and if she's rude just tell her that I am not going to be mean to her so she should probably try and be civil as well.

I'm still really worried about work tomorrow though.

So for the last two days I have been feeling pretty crappy. Today I woke up to a sore throat, a full head and lungs that burned when I breathed. I took some cold and sinus meds at about 7 o'clock and they hardly helped. My shift at work started for 11:45 and I called my supervisor around 8:30. I told her I was very sick and that I could come in and help her during the lunch rush (i'm a cook). She basically said fine, i'll just do everything myself, the kitchen was left in shambles last night, (i worked an a.m. shift so I had nothing to do with that), nothing is prepped (once again worked a.m. shift so did what prep I could between hosting two birthday parties, and being the lone person in the kitchen to cook for all the custies) so stay at home. She used a very very rude tone while saying all this and gave me teh impression that she felt I was basically faking. She said bye and hung up before I could say anything else.

So me feeling guilty and unfortunatly too nice called back and said "Listen I am going to come in. Your obviously not prepared to handle a lunch rush by yourself." She answered with "your sick, I don't want to get sick, stay home. Bye." and hung up on me again.

I got off the phone seriously fuming. I think I was being pretty reasonable offering to come in at all and was treated like garbage. I decided that I was going to go to the walk in clinic and get a doctors note and prove to the skank that I was actually sick. When my boyfriend came home and I told him the story he was ready to march in there himself and say a few choice words to her. With him prompting me I decided to talk to the head boss about her actions.

I went into my job in my p.j's and had a meeting with him. I basically told him it's not my fault she's short staffed. If i'm sick I really shouldn't be there working with food and dealing with customers. I also told him how I felt guilty for not coming in, and I shouldn't have to when i'm sick. I said I like my job but don't like the stressful conditions there. He said what I was saying was reasonable and he would disuss her people skills with her as he had had other complaints in the past.

So after I talked to the head boss and gave him my doctors notes I was waiting for my boyfriend and she walked by. She said what are you doing here? I answered I had just gave Fillipo my doctors notes and discussed our phone call since you were extremly rude to me earlier. She answered with" Give it a break. I was working in the middle of a linch riush" walked away and under her breath proceeded to call me a bitch. If you remember I called at 8:30 in the morning. The kitched wasn't even open yet.

Now I have to go to work tomorrow and deal with her for about an hour. How would you guys say I go about this if she's rude to me? Be kind back, lay into her, walk out??

Man I am in a mess...

I really wish I had cabel for those nights alone. Anyone from the burly/hamilton area able to tape these shows or know where I can watch or dl them online?

I'd say the worst album in Djeds collection would have to be best of Randy Newman.

I agree wholeheartedly with that comment. If something isn't pleasing to the ears on a recording why should you go see the group live just to confirm the fact that you don't like there musical abilities? Makes no sense.

i play music, but i favor interesting music. i know what i'm talking about enough to realize that Warren doesn't have an original bone in his body. as for ripping, yeah he can play the blues scale and a few modes, lots of people can. unfortunately he can't do anything else(see: Jimmy Herring) the biggest problem with this scene is the guitar loving.

In djeds defence (even though he is an asshole music nazi ) he never said that Warren is a shitty guitar player. I belive he said he is mediocre.

I just want to point out that this thread wasn't created to offend Warren fans. Everyone is allowed to share their thoughts on the subject and it's healthy for people to disagree. A good heated debate is always fun. I would contribute but I don't really care to much about the subject.

I was actually a bit disapointed. Family guy took a long time for me to actually "get". I still hate Peter and there are some long drawn out retarted Peter moments in the movie. I also thought it would be more "movie like" instead of just a long episode. It was a good movie but I don't plan on buying it.

Just to clear that up I said when "i'm" feeling nostalgic. The younger part of my life I listened to the Q. Some of those overplayed songs hold wonderful memories.

I grew up listening to Classic Rock. Alot of the bands I becamse infactuated with as a young girl were because I heard a song or two on Q107 and then wanted to hear alot more.

I always hope that the people that many have mentioned (spoon fed music) will do the same as myself and get intersted in new music because of staples played on radio stations.

When I go to campfires I always like to hear songs I can sing along with. I'd suggest some Neil or Beatles.

Our party of 5 will be arriving early afternoon so we can try and get a decent camping area. The May CT we were slow pokes and got there around 8 and had to camp in the back feild with the crazy locals!!

Elliot Smith is a singer/songwriter probably best known for his song Miss Misery from Good Will Hunting. His music tends to be very sad but amazing and really touches me.

He was heavily influenced by the Beatles (aren't we all? ) and Djed dl some live covers he did before he passed away.

I would strongly recomend giving Elliot Smith a listen. The album Figure 8 is my favourite.
