  1. Anyone seen the original English version of this fine show? Pure genious! Anyone ever seen the American version? Its exactly the same! Its uncanny! I dont know what I was expecting, but I wasnt really expecting that. Twas funny though, I must admit, but mostly becasue, it was EXACTLY THE SAME. Picture Faulty Towers being done, word for word, by a bunch of American actors with different (I think),character names. I just dont see the need for it. It was like "faking the video," only with professionals faking the freakin video. Anyone else not find this strange, not to mention a wee bit creepy? Bah! Im so confused...

  2. still can't decide on tracks from :

    Ump Mcgee

    modest mouse

    my morning jacket

    Wilco

    JAck Johnson

    Ben Harper

    Spearhead

I think you got the wrong John Prine song (not that there is such a thing), but id suggest "Inspite of Ourselves". I think Its beautiful, and funny. For JAck Johnson Id suggest "Do you Remember" off his latest disc. For wilco Id go with something off the Billy Bragg discs, Like California stars, or Way Over Yonder, or if you want to get real "sweet," the song right after Way over Yonder, where the girl sings, I think its called something like, "All the Birds are singing," er something, is quite nice. And for Ben Harper Id put "The Drugs Dont Work," Sure its sad, but its real purdy too!

  3. Just membered something, and dont worry it has nothing to do with Mossies. Well, actually it does! At the beginning of the summer I remember reading signs and hearing snippets on the radio that Toronto was going to undertake a Mosiquito control process this summer. Something about letting harmless (?) gasses in to the air...no joke...to kill em off!! So I guess its not the Butterfly conservatories afterall. Havent you noticed theres been hardly any Mosquitos in the city either?

  4. Isnt it obvious? Butterfly Conservatories are training the lot of them to wipe out the Mosquito population. Having no previous experience in fighting humanities smallest pest, it is a long and arduous process in which the female "B-Flies", as they are now reffered to by intelligence, have been meticulously trained to, using their sexuality, lure the Mossies, as Australians call them, in to the darkest depths of rural tomato gardens, and some corn fields, where they promptly decapetate each one with a swift hack to the back of the neck with an extremely sharp blade of watter lilly. Unfortunately, the Mossies have been repoted to have developed an anti-bodi to the B-Fly attack, and leaks from their intelligence suggest they have even more up their sleeve, something along the lines of a trojan horse-esqu strategy. Butterfly Conservatories of North America have refused comment.

  5. Cant blame leafs and Sens fans for talking shit about the Habs. It helps them deal with the complete and utter letdown their teams bring them every year. While the Habs have been quietly rebuilding over the past few years, the Leafs and Sens have been stroking their fans collective genitelia year after year, only to leave them feverishly unsatisfied by ending each year with something as climactic as a huge fart.

  6. Either love him or hate him. I hate him. I agree that he plays hard, I disagree that has any skill though ( aside from being a great goon.). Ill never be convinced otherwise, either, so please dont try to pursuade me. Sure he scores 12 goals a year, but thats the league average and hes been around long enough to know how to put the puck in the net on occasion. I saw him once miss an empty net goal and my GF, who pretty much despises hockey, was like, "thats all he does (play hockey), and he missed the net?" I had a good laugh.

  7. An Inevitable part of the game.

An absolute waste of time. It may have been an integral part of the game back in the days when everyone basically fended for themselves. Now with the designated goon system' date=' it's just a couple of thugs taking bench space and ice time from someone who can actually play the game.

    [/quote']

Then why did Iginla fight Guerin? THey're both extremely talented, are they just taking valuable bench space from the goons?

  8. Cool, Im downloading the song now, thanks for the heads up. I used to go see em all the time, thats why I asked if you were the door guy, cuz I couldnt remember his name. And I was gonna say hi. Huh. I probably had a few laughs with you there before too. Cant make it anyomore though, live in K-W and Tuesday mornings were hard enough when I was in Etobicoke. Thanks for keepin people like me in to it dude.
