Yep. I do realize that, but they would then have to then prove it was actually me who downloaded the 2.1 GB, the fake name and email (unique to OiNK only) only make that a bit more difficult. Regardless, I'm not at all heartbroken over any of this, nor am I remotely concerned about any fall out on me.

I'm glad I registered on OiNK using a made up name/gmail address. Although, I'm not sure the 2.1 GB I downloaded would be worth coming after me...

  11. I just sent you one Newrider, be sure to use the proxy because Canadians are blocked from the site due to legal action against Demonoid from the CRIA. The proxy gets you around it. Jayr, try using this proxy program, you can still log into your account and download with no issues. At the bottom select "FREE Anonymous Web Proxy" http://www.guardster.com/

  14. Wikipedia quote of the day:
  15. Man, no shit. Soon I hope, although this weekend isn't good for me unfortunately, between splitting wood in Scotland (ON) and dog sitting I'm pretty tied up. We should get in touch during next week and make some plans for that weekend perhaps.
  16. Ambulance Blues!! That song alone, and the possibility of it being played in Toronto will no doubt make me wish I could have afforded tickets for Massey Hall.
  17. Wow - I haven't seen nor heard from Del in ages. Hope all is well my friend and if indeeed we missed your birthday, happy belated bro.
  18. Perhaps man, like I said, I haven't looked to deep into it since I have no use for that format (or an iPod) although I tend to put my trust in the folks over at hydrogenaudio.org over wiki. (not saying wiki is wrong on this topic though) But I guess if you own an iPod and the best lossless you can get for it is ALAC, regardless of its quality compared to FLAC, is a bonus.
  19. Pretty sure your choice "Mother Revisited" (or "Freeze Out" originally titled - "Seems Like a Freeze Out"), is Visions of Johanna. As far as I know Dylan only requested it be called that during the Melbourne, Australia show on 1966-04-19 which can be found in the 26 CD collection 'Jewels And Binoculars' [edit to add] So the correct second title is technically 'Visions of Johanna'
  20. ALAC has been around for a few years (2004 I believe). Although, I don't own an iPod so I haven't gotten to deep into it, I have read a fair bit about it over at www.hydrogenaudio.org A couple things I've learned are: ripping to ALAC is done with iTunes, which from my understanding doesn't give you as secure a rip as EAC > FLAC. And that the compression level is equal to about FLAC 6.5. - I guess its not a huge difference, but for some audiophiles its enough to avoid using it.
  21. Theme #304: Songs that reference dreaming. 1. Grateful Dead - To Lay Me Down 2. Roots Roundup - Sleepin' 3. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers - Angel Dream (no.2) 4. Mission of Burma - 1001 Pleasant Dreams 5. Neil Young - Hippie Dream 6. Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan's 115th Dream 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
