  3. Missed this the other day. Thanks Jakis.
  4. Haven't seen any snow around these parts, well, at least the sort that melts.
  5. Great to see a few Hamilton musicians on the list.
  6. What made me laugh the most was still seeing people complain that the bitrate was too low, even though the album was free. Says alot really, especially since some of those people claimed to be Radiohead fans.

  8. Love: - great pay - 36 hr work week (half day fridays) - all overtime (incl. wknds) is double time - extremely good benefits and medical coverage - with an inter-provincial license, I can go anywhere in Canada or the USA that has a local and work hassle and application free - never stuck in the same place for too long - no questions or job searches from or for EI if I get laid off because I'm in a trade union - free training for many other things (CPR/Welding/fire alarms systems etc) - I just have to make a phone call and can go to work the very next day if there is a job available, no paperwork except tax forms. - If I choose, I can quit, or request a lay off and still get EI. - 7/12s for 60 days HateDislike: - the toll taken on my back - but in all honesty, thats due to the two spinal surgeries I've had. - not always alot of local area work - working outside in jan/feb - working in rain (as an electrician, I've never been overly comfortable with that)
  9. My brother is there right now.
  10. In 1997, I was travelling around Europe for close to two months waiting for the cup in Amsterdam to begin, and I visited my brother who lived in Lyneham, England at the time (he's in the QRAF), he had somne leave saved up and we both decided to travel over to France to attend the nov.11 service at the Vimy Ridge Memorial. Definitely the most powerful and emotional rememberance day I have ever expirenced and one I will never forget.
  11. Obviously someone else is writing his material now-a-days, not one mention about how the white man is holding him back.
  12. Happy Birthday Tasha, hope it's a great one. Nostrovia!

Rob I agree 100%. Its an awesome idea and feature. You can also gift all or some of those points to someone if you wish. I've almost reached 850 KPs (20GB upload or custom title), I would have surpassed it awhile back but I gifted a few people with 5GB in exchange for some DVDs they couldn't seed on HC due to lack of lineage/source etc. This next batch of KPs is all mine though.. One reason I've been shying away from dime lately is they seem to be overly strict on content now-a-days, I mean, just because 30 seconds of a track was used in a film the entire track has to be removed from the show? (Hell, even Traders Den allow that shit and they are one of the more stricter sites IMHO) but my main reason is uploading on the dime tracker is a chore for me, I hardly ever hit over 10kBs up anymore. It never used to be like that for me, but over the last year I've seen my ratio go from 2.9 to .97 and I leave torrents open constantly, just seems hard to upload (much like Pink Roberts site) before people drop off and the torrent is only alive due to me still being on it..
  15. Thats crazy, in my spare time I pretend to make booby traps for Bear Grylls to step on...we should hang out.

Honestly, that was just a joke. I recived three emails from people here asking for an invite right after the link was posted, so I decided to post the above comment for fun. I hadn't heard of the site until I got an email asking for an invite.. The best way to get an invite I'm told is by using waffles IRC channel, all you have to do is register your name with their nickserv. I don't use IRC so I can't confirm that. Surprised no one is asking for what.cd invites...
  18. You beat me to posting this....saw it on the other board, first run I scored a 26. Almost passed..

I always use dbpoweramp music converter to do that, dbpoweramp will convert pretty much any format to any other format in one step. (with the proper codecs installed). Only downside is, dbpoweramp's mp3 license must be purchased after 30 days, I ended up finding a cracked version and just downloaded it. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm Another way is: FLAC: >> http://flac.sourceforge.net/ This will allow you to convert the FLAC files to WAV, then you just need to convert to the WAV files to MP3 using whatever program that converts to MP3 you have.

Right on Carey, Also note that any torrents with a gold coin next to them only count upload stats, always a good way to help boost the ratio. Just curious here, but do they still credit you with 3GB upload stats when you join? They did when I joined so I keep telling people they do...
  22. Saw this posted on another board and thought it was worth posting over here. Its long but a good read none the less. http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/music/bal-al.dead
  23. I saved that for my blog.

Sorry bouche, but I'm not sure some folks can keep an acceptable (my standards) ratio for me to share any waffle invites.
  25. I imagine Bradm likes rooms where I'm not sleeping (snoring) on the floor. ( Slip - Montreal 2001 I think)
