I don't know about re-broadcasts, but it's available for d/l on numerous torrent sites, in HD (or just audio - lossless) and in it's entirety (or per performer).
-
To each his own, but I thought it was God awful.
Agreed. Although, that also pretty much sums up my opinion of Sandler in general.
Enjoyed most of the evenings music though.

Ive got American Movie Classics ... is that AMC?
If you get Walking Dead, Madmen & Breaking Bad on that station then it's the same. Although I think they only go by AMC now, at least on Canadian airwaves anyway.
I checked the listing and it's showing 7:30pm start.
-
I got AMC as well. I got Source Cable in Hamilton.
Yep, Source cable. One of the last family owned and operated ISP/telephone/cable providers left in Canada apparently. Considering their small service area we must live somewhat close to one another. Limeridge/Garth area myself.
-
Hmm, I have AMC with my basic cable - guess I'll have to check this out.
-
A few come to mind, and in no particular order.
- John The Conqueror - John The Conqueror
- Jim Lauderdale & Robert Hunter - Carolina Moonrise
- Mike Cooley - A Fool On Every Corner
- Heritage Blues Orchestra - And Still I Rise
- Del McCoury - Old Memories, The Songs Of Bill Monroe
Extra pick..
- Black Prairie - A Tear In The Eye Is A Wound In The Heart

Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar has died. He was 92.The prime minister's office confirmed his death and called him a "national treasure."
Shankar helped millions of classical, jazz and rock lovers in the West discover the centuries-old traditions of Indian music over an eight-decade career. He was a hippie musical icon of the 1960s. He played Woodstock and hobnobbed with The Beatles.
Beatle George Harrison labelled him "the godfather of world music."
He also pioneered the concept of the rock benefit with the 1971 Concert For Bangladesh. To later generations, he was known as the estranged father of popular American singer Norah Jones.
Shankar collaborated with Harrison, violinist Yehudi Menuhin and jazz saxophonist John Coltrane as he worked to bridge the musical gap between the West and East.

Bob Dylan
Minnesota Party Tape
1961-05-00 - 1961-12-22
Original analog source (via Tony Glover, 1961) > CD bootleg > SHN
Recorded by Tony Glover (of Koerner, Ray & Glover) during informal
sessions where Dylan played for some friends, these Minnesota tapes offer
us a more accurate - and in some ways, more entertaining - aural snapshot
of Bob Dylan's early repertoire than anything Columbia would release. As
a seeming antitheses to any of the spontaneity shown amongst friends, his
debut album sounds barren by comparison.

Regardless if the guy was or wasn't breaking the law, this is just wrong. Precedent set. Charter be dammed.
Disgusting.
Supreme Court upholds drug conviction despite unconstitutional search
The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that drug evidence obtained in an illegal police search can nonetheless be used by the Crown to prosecute a Nova Scotia motorist.
In a 5-2 decision, the majority said that a Kentville man, Brendan David Aucoin, should not have been searched while an officer was preparing a traffic ticket for him.
However, they said that the need to prosecute crime outweighs the unconstitional nature of the search.
The search arose after a routine traffic stop in 2008 by a police officer who suspected a licence plate infraction. Detecting alcohol on Mr. Aucoin’s breath, the officer administered a roadside screening test and impounded his car.
Out of concern that Mr. Aucoin might disappear into a milling street crowd while his traffic ticket was being prepared, the officer asked him to get into his police cruiser.
Before opening the cruiser door, however, the officer gave Mr. Aucoin a routine pat-down search. He discovered a small package containing eight bags of cocaine and 100 green pills. Mr. Aucoin was ultimately convicted of drug offences and sentenced to two years in prison.
Writing for the majority Friday, Mr. Justice Michael Moldaver’s said that the detention and search were dubious in light of the fact that other officers had been in the area and could easily have been summoned.
“Without wishing to second-guess the actions of the police and recognizing, as I do, that the police are often required to make split-second decisions in fluid and potentially dangerous situations, I am nonetheless of the view that (the officer’s) actions, though carried out in good faith, were not reasonably necessary,†Judge Moldaver said.
Balancing that, however, he said the sequence of events was carried out by an officer acting in good faith; not one motivated by flagrant disregard for his constitutional rights.
“As for the impact of the search on the appellant’s privacy rights, I accept that the impact was significant – but no more so than society’s interest in having this case tried on the merits,†Judge Moldaver said, writing on behalf of Madam Justice Marie Deschamps, Madam Justice Rosalie Abella, Mr. Justice Marshall Rothstein and Madam Justice Andromache Karakatsanis.
But in dissenting reasons, Mr. Justice Louis LeBel and Mr. Justice Morris Fish countered that the officer lacked a legitimate reason for breaching Mr. Aucoin’s right to privacy.
“The Court must dissociate itself from this conduct if it is to maintain the long-term repute of the justice system,†he wrote.
Judge LeBel stressed that police officers must have reasonable grounds to believe that there is a risk to their safety – or that of others – before they go ahead and conduct a protective pat-down search.
“The evidence indicated that Mr. Aucoin was cooperative throughout the encounter,†Judge LeBel said. “He did not say or do anything that would indicate a desire to flee. In addition, there was a second uniformed officer present to supervise him.â€
Judge LeBel also noted that the officer said he routinely put detained motorists in the locked rear seat of his police car after a pat-down search.
“This is evidence of a pattern of abuse,†Judge LeBel said.
He said that admitting the evidence would condone police officers detaining and searching suspects without having any real grounds to do so: “The effect would be to significantly erode public confidence in the rule of law,†he said.

Rob Ford cleared to run in byelection for Toronto mayor
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was cleared today to run again for mayor in a byelection, should one be held ahead of the 2014 municipal election.Lawyers for Ford, who earlier this week was ordered out of office by an Ontario judge in a conflict of interest case, asked the judge to clarify his ruling.
The clarification was released in a conference call on Friday, and clears the way for Ford to re-seek the mayor's chair if the city opts to hold a byelection.
Ford is also appealing the judge's decision in a motion expected to be heard next week.
On Monday morning, Ontario Superior Court Justice Charles T. Hackland ruled that Ford had violated the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act by speaking and participating in a council vote regarding a financial penalty he was ordered to pay after he was found to have violated council's code of conduct by soliciting donations to his football charity using city materials.
Ford was given 14 days to vacate his office.
Following Hackland's decision, the city’s solicitor issued a legal opinion, saying she believed Ford was not eligible to run ahead of 2014.

Rob Ford files notice of appeal in conflict case judgment
In court documents, Ford’s lawyers argue that he will "suffer irreparable harm if a stay is not granted," as he will lose his position as the mayor of Toronto. -
You think Toronto has problems? Has anybody been following the shitstorm in Montreal??
Total shitstorm, corruption right up to the senate.
[edit to add]
Also following the whole mess with MP Irwin Cotler and the lies about his stepping down, via phone calls directly related to the cpc. Adamantly defended in the House today by Van Loan as "free speech". Disgusting.

He got the boot for very legit reasons. It's hard for me to fathom a high-level politician thinking it would be acceptable to participate in a vote on his own disciplinary measures.
Having said that, I feel like this will only embolden his base, and he might get elected again.
Exactly. I'm already sick and tired of the right's spin and excuses on why he was fired, like he was only supporting a children's charity or "left-wing judiciary activism" , it's only a small amount of money and he didn't benefit etc.
He willingly and knowingly disregarded all advice and warnings that he was in conflict (even 10 minutes before he voted) had numerous chances to simply pay back the money and resolve the issue quietly, but instead he thumbed his nose at the council, the courts and acted like he was above the law he swore to adhere to. Fuck, he couldn't even be bothered to read the damn handbook for the job he was elected to do, and then used ignorance as a defense in court - that alone is a slap in the face to people who voted for him, as well the rest of the city. He deserved to be booted based on that in my opinion.
He should be thankful that he wasn't subjected to a mandatory minimum that can/could apply to this type of violation. (ie: 7 year ban).
