moderate muslim.
I'd use it myself but Lara really doesn't like it.

I saw them on Rabidmonkey's epic 1999 birthday bash at zaphods.
I especially enjoyed the rock a bye->hey jude medley sung by 1996's "magic the gathering" champion.
I've always seen these press releases saying these guys are rockstars but that was my only experience with them.

"I wasn't even paying attention to the game."
That's much better.
Sounds like its time for him to be traded to the Raiders.... oh wait a sec.

I thought the hit on Green was vicious. I definitely think there should be a fine. He was almost all the way through his slide. I'm shocked that there was no late hit called.
Damon Huard eh? look out...
I think Bledsoe will be fighting for his job in 2 weeks. I didn't think Jacksonville looked to special but I'm happy they won. That way they won't have a chip on there shoulder next Monday night.

On a side note, I was listening to the game, not watching it. (no cable) So I had Boomer as a commentator. I'm not sure if he was on TV but he is most definitely a high order practitioner of douchebaggery. He was calling for Dante to be in the pro bowl before the end of the first half of the first game of the season.
Douchebag.

Charlie will have no impact.

OUCH!
Batch did a good job. Hopefully Ben will be back next week because I wouldn't count on every secondary being as forgiving as Miami's.

They better because if you get beat by Charlie Batch, you're in for a long season.

Benny,
My mother lives in Pittsburg. I'll be down for a visit this fall some time. I'll drop you a line for sure.

It was an interesting experience. My total verbal interaction with Damo over the entire night was "Hi Damo, nice to meet you" to which I was greeted with a nod.
Musically speaking it was fun but it would have been nice to have stopped and changed directions more. We did however play in about 4 different keys throughout the hour + movement.
Overall I'm not exactly sure what to make of Damo's thing. sure seems like a good gig for him.
Also it would have been nice to play with the other musicians that came to play. Some guy brought a saw. I love the saw.

What's with all the finger cutting? Is Brad moonlighting at a Japanese restaurant?

I would like to add this lady is on heavy medication and needs a certain amount of water a day for her meds.
Is it possible she's been stealing her own water the whole time and drank the toilet water herself?

is that jabba the hut or grimace??
Same guy.

I think it would help out a lot if some of these Can-Jam bands got publicists...or maybe a publicity company that could represent a handful of them.
Anyone ever hire one or investigate hiring one?
You can't rely on the bars to do the promotion.
Agreed that this is needed. Unfortunately after paying the agent 15% and manager 10% off the top before expenses the publicist money would probably have to come out of thr $10-$20 per day perdium.
What canjam bands really have to do is stop writing music and concentrate on meditation in hopes of attaining some sort of enlightenment that allows you to stop eating. That would save so much cash!

bug bites in a straight line sounds like bed bugs to me.
Time to burn your bed.

The fucking music press, pompous indy rock guzzlers, promoters, industry hacks who listen to Feist when they make oral sex with a dental dam and think they're cool- they all hate us or just don't even give a shit.
Luke,
You make me laugh. Thank you.

Our Tueday night shows were the best thing we ever did as a band. We were extremely fortunate to have a venue like the Whipping Post in town. Lance basicly just gave us a green light to do whatever we wanted with the night. It gave us the opportunity learn how to play together, to learn how to improvise and really to learn how to play. That residency did more for my playing than anything.
What was different about the Tueday shows was that we tried to really "go out there" and break new ground. We figured that we had only a certain amount of songs and that if people were going to come every week it wouldn't be to see us do the same songs every night.
Ahh, so many great memories!

Mike,
You definitely have me reminiscing. On a certain level it is the best shit ever, the best time. It is also the exact opposite sometimes. Its also a mix of the two, sometimes at the same time.

All complaining aside.
Being able to have performed my own music across Canada and the US for what is truthfully a beautiful group of people has been a priviledge and a dream come true.
As difficult as it is for me to play what I want to and get anywhere with it, there is nothing more I would rather do. I can't wait to be out there doing it all again.
I'll just do it more sensibly.

agreed GM.
meesick MI ->Traverse City MI->Ottawa is more my speed.

but i know if I joined their leagues I'd likely have ended up with liver failure and some other drug problems that I currently don't.
Here's to livers!

surviving on $20 a day
Wow, you guys were living large!!
I remember figuring out in Canmore that if I slept in long enough I could just eat one cold cut combo for the day and save the extra $6 for something more unsavoury.

I've got to say, that its heart warming to see so much interest in seeing us play again. I am really looking forward to it. We are going to make sure this will be a very special weekend.
