yesterday I downloaded the new live Moz album; very tight and top notch! The new songs are performed extremely well and the Smith tunes sound fresh and as good as you're gonna get minus Marr!

hey PHISHIN4MANGO, I just sent you an e-mail regarding Canada Day; let's hook up if you're around!

Supergrass' version of "Some Girls Bigger..." definatley kicks ass!
as for his current lineup, he has the same bass player and guitarist (Boz) for years; all the other new guys are solid (he even has a keyboardist/misc player that adds a little touch to certain songs)

Smiths+Morrissey rule even to this day!
the new live album should be good for what it's worth. I saw him twice in the last year (one in Vegas the other in London/UK) and although Moz ain't in top 100% form as he used to be, his band is top notch!

sounds like a cheap move to me; I doubt the cds are in mint condition

upon further investigation, not only DP are included but other live releases (Nassau 81, live at the Rhein, 100 yr Haul) but the suckers don't offer the meaty jams for download (ie, a 20 minute Dark Star or the 12 min Franklin's that comes after the Jack Straw from Nassau 81). Same with the Live Phish releases (who would download Camden 99 if you can't score the sickatating 20 min Chalkdust?!?!
That ain't heady!

can't wait for the i-pod commercials of siloheted hippes boogying to an Other One freak out jam!

nothing can spoil this fu©ked up franchise as it is!

has any1 checked out the criterion collection dvd release of Fear and Loathing; on the boinus disc there's a mad-ass bbc documentary that follows Hunter around (i think mid-late 70s) that gets somewhat disturbing.

i dig Bob the most when he locked himself in a basement with a band!

i guess it was only a matter of time.
if you haven't heard these guys yet, download now while the mp3s are still up. These guys are AMAZING! Better than the Beatles and Metallica!

has anyone heard the Playin>Scarlet>Playin sandwhich from 8/6/74? During the PLayin Reprise, it sounds like someone's rippin' out Donna's vocal chords when she gives that "Ya-ya-ya-ya-yaaaaaaaaaa" call!! fu©king Brutal Shreek that practically kills the momentum. And I even like Donna!

oh, and the ACDC Bag from Boise 99 tkaes the cake for top 5 jams of their career!

I'm so bloody embarassed to ask this but what is Canada's offical title in relation to the UK? I mean, I know we're a sovereign nation and that we amended our constitution in 82 that took away Britain's power over us, but isn't there still some sort of affiliation besides the Queen and the Gov General hanging over us symbolically and ceremonially?!?
People here at work are bugging me about it and I'm not quite sure what the answer is. Are we part of the commonwealth?
