  1. in regard to what constitutes "what is "Floyd?", it's all subjective. There are those critics/die hard fans who even claim Floyd ended once Syd got the boot.

Personally, I love and appreciate Floyd throughout their various stages. My 1994 ticket stub says Pink Floyd all over it (Astronomy Domine opener!!!)!

SUre, a Floyd reunion with Waters and Syd :P would be neat-oh but I honestly don't see it happening. I think Waters is too true to himself and his ego to fall back and rock out "Money" with the boyos again.

  2. It's kind of quirky working/living in the States (Alaska)for the 1st time in the midst of all this Presidential Election hooplah.

Unfortunately there's a Republican majority out here in the AK (OIL) but the strange thing is, I have not socialized nor met any of them?!?

Too bad I can't vote out here!

Also, here in Alaska, legalizing Pot is on the ballot. Pray for us!

  3. John Peel is the man! If anyone deserves to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it should be him!

Too many sessions to think of, but my favorites were the ones he did for the Smiths, the Cure and Pink Floyd back in 70!

  4. So last night I went to my local independent video shop and brought home to my unsuspecting roommates a 1978 classic horror flick aptly titled, "Blood Sucking Freaks". Here's a brief synopsis:

In this "comic" bloodbath, a ballet star is kidnapped by the director of a New York sado-masochistic theater. The demented stage manager then proceeds to commit a series of horribly gruesome acts. Not for the squeamish, obviously, even among hardened cult cinema buffs.

Has anyone seen this? It has to be, by far, one of the craziest, revolting and astonishing fu©ked up movies I've ever seen.

This movie is so scary on several levels; the fact it was conceived, acted out by humans, and actually distributed to the public is frightening!! Let's just say, movies like this totally fueled the Women's Lib movement in the late 70s.

Any other scary movies come to mind?

  5. "TRUE COLOURS and they ain't patchwork and tie dye- they are black, grey and BLOOD RED."

    Luke, that's gold!

I think Slayer said it best once in "Blood Red":

    Peaceful confrontation meet war machine

    Seizing all civil liberties

    Honest ballotation among banshee

    Spilling blood throughout humanity

You cannot hide the face of death

    Oppression ruled by bloodshed

    No disguise can deface evil

    The massacre of innocent people

Deviated lies fear blinding your eyes

Enforcing their truth through a gun

    Aggressive discipline and barbaric control

Thousands of people cannot be wrong

You cannot hide the face of death

    Oppression rules by bloodshed

    No disguise can deface evil

    That stains the primitive sickle

    Blood red

Growing opposition with words as ammunition

    Expressions of life’s liberties

    Aggressive discipline and barbaric control

    Spilling blood throughout humanity

you cannot hide the face of death

    Oppression rules by bloodshed

    No disguise can deface evil

    That stains the primitive sickle

    Blood red
