  1. nice Pavement quote Luke. I never knew you liked bands such as GBV, Pixies and Pavement before; you should of said something, I would of unleashed my bootlegs on you at DAL and the inside scoop on Pollard (my best friend's buddies with him)

  2. I don't doubt the message coming from Trey; besides, he always seems to call the shots when it comes to setlists (which always bugged me; for once it'd be nice to hear what Page wants to play; one in NJ they started up the 2001 beat and Mike wasn't having it so he layed down the SOAMelt bass line which caught everyone off guard>> that was classic! and it RIPPED into a sick KUNG :P

  3. just had a heart attack!

Man am I a sucker; I just bought my Coventry ticket; now how the phuck am I going to get there from Alaska?!?

Damn it; the first time they called it quits, I understood and respected the decision; but now it's lame! Why call it quits; just take a break and jam it out once in a while.

What a great way to seel tickets though!

  4. I don't really dig the DVD either. Honestly, Ween just doesn't do it for me "live". I've been listening to them since Pure Guava dayz, and I've always found my admiration for the band stems from their studio output: experimental, dreamy and raw. The only true nugget on the dvd I enjoyed was when they busted out "Don't Laugh I Love You" on the spot. Acoustic live Ween I can dig; Otherwise, the dvd's ok.

  5. I'm not too sure whether I like it or not. It's not BAD; a tad poppy and poopy; definately wouldn't care to hear this live anytime. Page sounds good though. But I really wonder if this is really the musical approach the band is striving for, or is it all Trey?

  6. dude, GNR died once Dizzy joined, thus forcing Izzy out. Izzy wrote most of the tunes, he was the soul of the band! Slash had the sick licks, Duff had the rad Misfits/T Rex sleeveless shirts with the chain/lock neckalace and the best bass line in Rocket Queen, Steven had the kick-ass coke beats. WIthout these guys, all you have left is one bad mutha with a rattle snake suitcase under his arm feeling lean and mean and drinking gasoline that makes his motor hum, with a chip on his shoulder and clip-on braids held together with a permanent bandana.

What a fucking shame what happened to these guys. Honestly, I believe they were the last, true, great rock and roll band in the Stones tradtition (with the Crowes in 2nd place).

  7. I've wanted to see Moz for years. Maybe instead of sacrificing my Phish ticket, I'll run over to Anaheim the next night and catch him there. Anyone up for that?

Hey, could you imagine, keeping in Vegas tradition to have whacky special guests, what if Moz made an appearance with Phish the night before?!?! That would be hilarious! What on earth could they play? Or what if Phish played a Smiths/Moz tune in honour of Moz playing down the street? Ooh, I can picture Henrieta crooning to "Everyday is like Sunday", that would be jokes!

  8. Hey,

I was wondering if any1 was staying in Vegas at a hotel on Sunday night/Monday morning (April 19th). My flight back to AK leaves that day and I only have a hotel booked until Sunday and my friends take off that day too. I can chip in on costs.

    thanks

  9. hey,

just watched Goodfellas for the first time in years. What an awesome movie!!!!

There are 2 killer Stone tracks I've never heard of: Memo From Turner and Monkey Man. What's the story behind these tunes? Are they on any album, because I can't seem to find any discography info on them?!?

    thanks

  10. does any1 own this? when I first received it, I was truly dissapointed it didn't include ALL their videos; I understand they're ashamed of the earlier License to Ill vids, but keeping back Jimmy James and Time for Livin' off Check Your Head is a bummer.

But until I discovered that you can play the videos with a selection of remixes, I was blown away; plus the multi-angle display is tight (check out Shake Your Rump's).

They even included an OLD SCHOOL vid from the Polly Wog Stew ep dayz(1982)>> WOW

What the hell are these guys up to these days? Last I heard they released an anti-Bush tune that was pretty good.
