Yeah, and I think that that was one the first times I posted in a long time and the post started this whole drama. it's still an opinion-and it's true in his eyes and I have to agree. When you go see a concert, even the 3 minute top 40ers, they will add lib on thier hits...and "jam it out" if you will. I know how some people here on jambands.ca hate the term jam. He wasn't standing on a soapbox preaching the word of god, he was putting his two cents in on a convo about music. I stand strong on my OPINION that certain folks have over reacted here.

Certainly wasn't focusing on you Edger--there were a few folks that emphasized that he should just be happy to live. For us, 20's and 30's folks, that is closer to home--for a man in his 60's, not so good. Imagine how depressed your parents would be if they had no income and no house. Mine would be out of thier minds.

I just lost someone very close to me to Pancreatic Cancer and it was horrible. It is the worst kind of cancer-NOBODY survives it. It is fatal. He was right to live life to the fullest while he could. Some of these responses are pretty cold, regardless if he is lucky enough to survive pancreatitis, which by the way, is just as painful and horrid as the cancer. He should be compensated. How much, will be the judges call. I'm sure he is glad to live but I'm sure he wouldn't mind having a job or his house either. Who is going to hire a 62 year old man for a decent job? This is a tragedy within a tragedy.

Actually I was being light hearted...And I am not judgmental at all but you think what you want, I just wanted to know where you got that info from. I had heard of babies being allergic to something that the mother had eaten but not the breast milk itself. I am a mother of twins whom I breastfed for over a year, I know the hardships--my milk didn't come in for over a week and I ended up having to supliment after 7 weeks exclusively breastfeeding because my babies were starving to death--my pregnancy hit me like a Mack Truck and, 8 years later I still have health problems from it. My babies were born a month early and were still 9 lbs and almost 7 pounds. I apologize if I came off judgmental - I thought I made fun of myself in the post as a militant hippie which I used to be...I am at work, I probably didn't comb through the post for tone. I did not expect to inspire you to write such long angry post. I don't have the time to respond to all the things you said. I wrote about 4 sentences--you deduced a fair bit of nasty shit from those few sentences. I will not be responding to anymore to this thread. I'm very sorry to have upset anyone.

Breast is Best Y'all. I am quite curious where you got the info on baby's being intolerant of their mother's breast milk. The Similac comment---well, I will assume that you don't have any babes...or if you do, you did not breastfeed. Formula, although it's great if you have NO other choice, does have ill effects. Kids that are not boobie fed get way more sick that the average breast fed infant--ear aches, infections of all kinds...their immune systems are compromised greatly by the lack of help from the mother's natural boost. And don't get me started on the bonding process that is established during natural nursing. Anyhoo...I feel the militant hippy coming out in me and I have to shock myself into submission sometimes. Dancin' Man is in for a shock if he knocks me up...Muwahahaha

I think the issue is when they won't fix it and you have to just accept what the leasing company accepts from the insurance company. If they take less than what you owe on the car, then too bad. Anyway, my experience is not the be all, end all--I just got screwed to the Max--doesn't mean you will get the same.

Leasing is fine until you get into an accident. At that point, you are screwed. I would never lease again. Remember, you don't own the car--they do. I leased and got into a squabble on the 401 with a transport truck 10 days after I leased it. Ended up costing me 2000 for those 10 days and 1500.00 for a rental because they don't have a car waiting for you or anything (my insurance only covered what they felt was a reasonable replacement time). Not to mention, I didn't qualify for a loan because I still was outstanding with the lease on the car that was totalled. The insurance company negotiates with the leasing company--you have nothing to do with it and they do it on thier time, not considering your life is on hold with having no wheels or a rental on your own dime. It was a nighmare - totally backwards. Anyway, happy leasing...I hope you have an accident free term!
