I love when bands fight with the audience. Fantastic! One time at a Gordon Lightfoot show, this dude kept screaming for "Cats In The Cradle" so Lightfoot lept off the rim of the stage and just shredded him right there in front of the Governor-General and then he tore into her, screaming at her to "stop crying so I can play fackin' Old Dan's Records, for Chrissakes!". It was fantastic.
Then there was the time Doug Feaver took on a high-school football team because he didn't like their uniforms....
Here's a picture of Dave Hill from the Fat Cats, taken a couple years back, I think at Frontier Town:
His hair has changed but you gotta love his attitude.
See ya!

I'll start bolting things down....

I'll have to check with the boss, but if she says I've been good, maybe we can go.

re: Feaver foto
There are so many things going on in that photo, I don't even know where to start......

C'mon, you gotta give props to the Peanuts cartoon though. I thought I was having a flashback....

Putting aside the fact that this is a stupid protest, how exactly would the concept of "hate speech" enter in here?

'Tis Paisley's birthday indeed. Be afraid. Be very afraid!

Law clerk at mid-size Hamilton law firm. Currently on hiatus from musical performances of an acoustic pub-style nature. The scene just got too big, y'know?

I hear ya bro.... great place to see a show, also a great place to lose 5lbs. from just breathing.
This was the hottest venue I've ever been to (although Brian advises me it was still cooler than Phish at the Masonic Temple/Concert Hall back in 1993).

I agree but I just gotta ask: was it hot as hell in there? When we saw Vida Blue there, I thought I was gonna die from the heat and humidity.
Granted, it was July, but I was just wondering if it's like that all the time.

I'll be out on Saturday for the Fatties. Just so I don't get shot!

Of course, we all know every year has great, must-hear shows but those are the years where I particularly dig the Dead's *sound*.

The Charlie Brown skit blew my head apart.
I just couldn't beleive it. Classic!
Hey, what can I say about Phish on SNL? They played real well but in this case, a review of the performance seems less important than the fact there was a performance at all. Seeing the smile plastered on Page's face the whole time made me smile too. It was great to see those four guys play together again and it seemed they were totally jazzed by it too. I even thought SNL was kind of funny (until the tail end).
Been a looooooooooong time since I thought that.
Yeah... Trey with his arm wrapped around Tipper.... (oh god)... Frank Zappa's spirit must be very displeased....

I got loaded.

The more I listen to it, the harder it is for me to come to an opinion on it. This one's a real "grower", I think, and generally that's a good thing!
I am sure that many of these songs are destined to become live favorites, that's for sure.

If you're blind, can you still hallucinate???

They're just kind of floating around. Here's a few more nice ones. Wow, what a pretty group of guys

"...Kikkoman Sauce Man has Bobby and the Potatoes..... send money now to avoid these people becoming a side-dish..."

Thanks. I think it's a little closer than the previous one. I like to be recognized at clubs and gigs.
