If you refer to Chelsea, it all helps a ton. Goals, and a replacement for the declining (I hate saying it) John Terry.
If Liverpool, Carroll plus 15 million pounds ain't so bad.
-
And there it is! Benfica complete sale of David Luiz to Chelsea for around 21million pounds plus Nemanja Matic.
Yay!
:bonghit:

Torres to Chelsea, Carroll to Liverpool confirmed. Apparent fees are, respectively, 50 & 35 million pounds. Still awaiting official confirmation on Luiz to Chelsea from Benfica.
Wow!

A silver car recently arrived at the Bridge. Torres may have been inside.
Jeez. Soccernet is poor comp to BBC.

I'd love to see Torres move confirmed, as immediately as possible. It seems we have just loaned Daniel Sturridge to Bolton for the rest of the season. It seems that Torres could do a decent job of replacing him.
And, if all comes true, Sunday is Chelsea v Liverpool II. What a scene.

Rumours that Manchester United have looked to sell Howard Webb have proved baseless as Sir Alex Ferguson went on record today stating that he is far too valuable to the club.
Awesome! That's my 2nd favorite comment of this fantastic deadline day, 2nd only to this from the BBC...
(sorry ollie, all in good fun)
"So Chelsea get Torres, Liverpool get Carroll, while Spurs try to sign....Phil Neville."
I love you, trade deadline day. You rule.

If this happens, Im going.
I had tix to Manchester last fall, and everything fell apart.
I ain't missing anything I wanna do, ever again. It's all about me now.

(to the tune of the chorus of Katie Herzig's "Forevermore")
"Hey, hey Fernando,
Come on and play with us.
There'll be no transit fuss,
We'll send a mini-bus.
Won't have to suffer
at Anfield any more,
and we'll be jolly friends
Forevermore."
(this is the tune, if you give a f@ck)

I'm somewhat saddened to not see what I thought was an obvious one on the list.
After Phish Long Island in 03, Shainhouse and I stayed in a place that should, I think, be the subject of a warning sign to be placed in the rooms at these top 10 hotels. Might've been called the Sea Breeze or Ocean Breeze. Whores in the parking lot, whores in the lobby, and a room where you didn't wanna even turn on the light. Sometimes its just better not to know some things, and the appearance of that room would've been one of em.

Good times.

RIP Charlie.
Love the Satan Is Real cover too. Right up there with the Millie Jackson album with her on the toilet, which IIRC might been called The Sh-t.
Having just looked it up, seems it was called Back To The Sh-t.
Album covers crack me up.

RIP Charlie.

The DVD's pretty awesome, Christine, go watch it.
And, I'm still hopeful that this'll end up at Jean Drapeau, to get us back to Heavy MTL.
Still, Indio would be a blast, if I believed this will be the only NA date.

Way to go, Anthopolous. He'll of a deal to move that contract, and with some good return as well. Now, some extra money for a deal with Jose?

Hmmm.
I'd love to finally see the Chemical Brothers, and they're playing on Friday. That's the same day as Sasha, who has remixed a bunch of their stuff.
Imma hafta think about this.

Id go.
Sometimes the spectacle is enough. One of the best concerts I ever attended was the Backstreet Boys. Musically crap, but those dudes were flying. FLYING!!! Quite a performance, but I wish I had some headphones with me that night, to listen to something, anything, else.

It does sound like good fun.
Haven't heard em, but really liked Bisco, and would, methinks, check this out.

maybe if you weren't spanked you'd have an interest in pets, hell maybe you would've become a veterinarian or cured dog cancer!!
Well, at least I didn't cause dog cancer.
My family have always had cats, I just didn't care for them much. Never hit them, though.
-
OK, I watched the LouisCK video.
My folks spanked me.
I do not have kids.
If I did, I would not hit them. Ever.
I just happen to believe that being spanked, myself, didn't do irreperable damage to me.
I don't have pets. No interest in em. Still, I wouldn't hit them.
My dad never hit my mom, but they both spanked me.

myself and pretty much anyone i know got a spank or two as a kid. this did not teach me that the answer to everything is violence, and it didn't make us all fucked up either. another thing it didn't do is make us overbearing, rottenly behaved, pushy and manipulative, like most of the little brats i see nowadays.
This is my view as well.
Well put.

Russia didn't win this game' date=' Canada lost it. I'd be some kind of embarrassed if I were on that team.[/quote']
Disagree. Russia came back three times this tournament. To say they didnt deserve it, or that it was all Canada's doing is absurd. Did you see the tying goal? It was beautiful. Sure Canada was sloppy at times, but Russia burried their chances and that's something.
I'm with Hal on this one.
That, plus the goalie change.

Whew! Might have strung myself up if Chelsea had lost the double to f$&king Sunderland.
4-2 suits me fine, after 2-2 at the half.
