  1. I've listened to bits of my recording (my mics were just above aberg83's), and what I heard sounded pretty good. I'm hoping to have it up on bt.etree.org later in the week.

I'm also going to try get the recording of the opening act, Donavon Frankenreiter Band, up to the Live Music Archive later in the week, too.

    Aloha,

    Brad

Thanks again for letting me clamp, and I want to apologize. I realize after listening to the later parts of the show (when my friend Josh and I were pretty hammered), that there's a bit of hootting and hollerin'. It isn't really bothersome on the recording, but haha, I just wanted to apologize for that. Sometimes the drink is a little heavy.

  2. This came out pretty nicely I think, and holy shit what a show! Enjoy...

  3. I thought Cortez was written by Neil before either Bush presidency?

The last Cortez I saw was this summer at Mountain Jam. It was a (second?) encore the first night' date=' and the guitarist from My Morning Jacket sat in. Very very nice!

Jen got to see them a few weeks ago at the historic Ryman Auditorium, when she was at a conference in Nashville. Sounds like a sweet venue.[/quote']

That Cortez at Mountain Jam was amazing. I should really transfer my tapes from that weekend.

Would love to hear it! I only have Rob_C's recording. They sound fairly good, considering the weather. I think it wasn't too windy though, right?

Yeah, the wind wasn't too bad. For taping purposes, the weather wasn't all that bad either. The rain was never too heavy, just spitting nonstop all weekend. The tapes come out pretty good. I'll get them transferred soon hopefully. I have MMJ's set ready to go from that weekend.

  5. Are there cheaper ways to get tickets for this than ticketbastard? $5 in fees, ugh. If the only way is advance tickets at various record stores in Toronto, $5 service fee is cheaper than the cost of gas to drive to/from Toronto just to buy tickets so I guess I'm stuck... anybody know?

  6. Hey Brad, thanks for looking into this. I will be there too, and taping. I was at the kool haus last week for Primus and getting full rigs in was no problem at all.. very smooth. Shouldn't be any different for mule I would think. I've taped them 4 or 5 times and never once had a problem, albeit those were all at different venues. In fact, all outdoor shows. I'm looking forward to it in any case!

  7. Greg, too bad about the audio patch... better crack out that manual! ;)

As for the show, my god was it good. Best show I've seen this year maybe.

My AKG 483 source sounds excellent and will be on etree/archive soon. I'll post when it's ready. Richard has said that he will get you the matrix recording to track out Willy, so that's good too.

    What a night, wow!

  8. Today is the day!!!!

    Wooo-hooo!!!!!

This is going to be so freakin' good I can't wait!

If people are already doing soundboard recordings then I certainly don't need to do one. I'll just stay out of the way and look forward to grabbing a copy later. That is as long as people are doing soundboard recordings.

I'll be taping with audience mics, so will my friend. I don't know of anybody sbd taping, so you might wanna bring the gear out. I can bring an iriver to tape off the board though.

  9. I'm in for Hamilton, and hoping for a midnight end also... but I'll deal either way. I'm bringing my taping equipment. To the video recorder dude, I talked to Brody a while back and he said setting up won't be problem. Sounds like there's lots of space. If you'd like an audio patch to sync with your video let me. I can give a 1/8" mini line output. Shouldn't be too hard to find me as I'll be setting up my micstand somewhere near the board likely. See ya tonight.
