good deal on hp discs... see inside

that is a good deal... are they considered good quality, the kind that people doing b&p's won't have to fuss over? (I send out b&p packages all the time and need to make sure I wouldn't get stuck with a spindle of "unacceptable" discs).

thanks...

This is from the site:

==============

Freight tells you whether shipping charges are FREE or additional.

Free specifies that if your order total is over $45, shipping charges in the contiguous 48 states are FREE.

Shipping Additional specifies that delivery charges will be added to your invoice.

==============

From this I gether that it will not be free to Canada. It will need to be over $45 dollars to be free in the US. If they even ship to Canada MAJOR costs will be incurred incl. duty, etc.

I would, junk bond king like to get two of these spindles. the HP's are a quality cd-r.

thx.

ok cool. email me with how many you want etc etc. also your addy, and we can go over what kinds of trade we can make...

i have done this thing 2x before with great success. i put down gift and value of $1 on the customs form and never have had anyone on the other end have a problem...

i have already ordered 6 spindles today, i am taking 100 myself, sending 100 to a buddy up in toronto, so i have 100 as of now unspoken for. looks like you get the extra 100. supposedly they are shipping today.

Hey Chris - I am interested, also. I won't be able to get to a computer again until tomorrow morning, just so ya know, but I just wanted to let you know I'd like to get in on that. I'll check in tomorrow am and see what you're saying. Thanks for the info.

Marc.

10-20 spindles might arouse the curiousity of the postal service, thus causing someone who rec's it to pay the duty tax.

3-4 spindles is not nearly as risky imho.

what i would do is just bring them all down to the post office in lafayette at one time anyway.

but do what you want, if someone is willing to take responsibility for rec'ing 1000 discs then i can do that.

I just ordered 100 Fuji's for signigicantly more, but still cheaper than in Canada. Worked out to $80 something, and there may be a $10 rebate (hopefully it's valid for Canadians). Made the purchase through borderfree.com so the price is guranteed, won't get burned with duty etc, and they don't bill till it crosses the border.

Here's the link if anyone is interested.

Maxells and Cursor/Gigastorage may burn ok for you, but they won't last very long. I've lost music from Maxell cd's in less than a year (that I've taken care of).

All the cheap cd's are made in the same factory in Taiwan, Ritek. And whether they burn for you or not isn't really the issue, they don't last. Most serious traders will not even look at a Ritek (Taiwan) cd-r.

Cd's made in Japan are made in an excellent factory called Taiyo Yuden. These are, Fuji's, HP, Sony, some TDK's as well as other brands.

My suggestion, stay FAR away from anything made in Taiwan and ONLY buy cd's made in Japan or Mitsui's.

Just my $0.02 from what I've picked up in the traders community.

i have never once had a single problem burnng to the CD-R's fro future shop that are 50 for 30...

memorex or cursor...i dunno...i get the packs of sleeves(25 for 10 bucks(holds 50)) and it all works out. I dont' care abotu hard cases...they always break anyway.

If i can get in on HP spindles, i'll gleefully buy you presents in trade...i'm getting low and don't want to waste my black memorex(wowee zowee are they nice - like playstation discs) on jobs that don't need longevity...well they all do but they're more expensive...what can i say - it's the scottish in me...
