secondtube
Been having a discussion lately with a friend who believes Lakeport purchases filtered, spring water to use to make their beer. i believe because they sell it at such a discount price, they use discount brewing methods....I believe they filter Hamilton's water. So basically Tap water which has gone through another filtering process... I've searched Google for hours, checked every damn link on Lakeports site, and even emailed them the question a few days ago... NO LUCK! So can anyone shed some light as to where Lakeport Breweries gets their water to make their beer? Thanks in advance, Steve
SevenSeasJim
I'm sure that if they imported water they would post that on the website. Since it is not posted I'm led to believe that they use pure, cool, clean water that is located in the canal between Stelco and Dofasco (right beside the #3 Coke oven)
secondtube
see, thats EXACTLY what i said...but he didn't agree. I figured if they were importing water, they'd have it in BIG BLOCK LETTERS on their opening page... The fact that the internet (google) and their site make no mention of where they get there water, i'm led to believe its tap water.

Esau
When I worked in Lakeport on an electrical contract they filtered water from this city,if I can get a hold of my buddy Steve he works there has since the Hill Park days,he'll be able to tell me.See what I can do,I am doubtful they purchase water, although I beleive they do have a more the adequate filtration system.Being on Hamilton harbour and all.
