Hal Johnson
Couldnt agree more about missing Delgado. Ive been saying it all year too. What irks me the most is that they said they couldnt afford him, got rid of him, and then annonced how rich they will be for the next few seasons! Then, they realize throughout this season the importance of a solid RBI and homerun guy, who, like Booche says, makes the 3 and 5 hitters much better. So now they're talking about picking someone up in the off-season to fill the void, but admit there wont be much to choose from. Doesnt anyone else find this all completely rediculous? To me its simple: if you have someone like Delgado who actually WANTS to play in Toronto you keep him, pay him whatever the feck he wants and count your lucky stars that he's not like the majority of professional Athletes who generally prefer to stay in the lower 48 (Hockey Players excluded, naturally). They screwed themselves by letting him go, and in turn we the fans get screwed by having to watch our favorite team suffer through the realities of being a small ball team, that never really executes the "small ball," game. Jaimoe
The team needed healthy starting pitching. Halladay is Canada's best athlete and perhaps the best pitcher in MLB. With 6-8 more quality starts, Toronto would still be in the wild card hunt.P.S.Lily has been missed also. He was getting better before he got injured. Booche
The best pitcher in MLB?Come on..........can you imagine if this guy got run support?Clemens, 11-6, 1.51 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 167 SO, .184 AVG, 8.15 K/9, 1 CG
Jaimoe
C'mon, Halladay had terrible run-support this year. In fact, he ranked with one of the lowest in the American League. I see your point about Clemons however. However, It would be great to see him finish a few more games. CG's can't be ignored.

Jaimoe
I'm not saying he had worse run support jackasses. It's comparable, plus Halladay pitches way more innings - the way Clemons used to.
