I downloaded a couple August shows and they are ok but lotsa new mellower stuff and nothing that made me want to listen again.

I enjoyed the Bonnaroo set but having seen Trey with the 9 piece band would much rather see the horns back as well.

You make a great point. I agree with you that he has played enough to form a valid opinion. To me, it seems that the summer tour was a lot better than the Spring tour. I did not mean to offend you, that was not my point. I wish that he would release the summer tour because there were some great shows.

I saw Trey in Cleveland at the beginning of August and I thought the new line up was awesome. Tony Hall adds a great vibe to the band. Trey was on fire that night. I think that if the crowd gets into it then thats when we get to hear wicked shows, because the artists feed off the crowd's reactions.

no man you didn't offend me at all - I just think that we're far enough enough away from the shadow of Phish to be able to see and hear clearly what he's up to.

I do think he's got a number of good new tunes written.
